David Belle is an international actor, but also the founder of Parkour. Belle was introduced to his acting career in a meeting with Hubert Koundé (La Haine) and then in the play Pygmalion. He began his acting career guest-starring in the television show Louis Page (1997). Belle gained prominence starring in Brian De Palma's Femme Fatale (2002), and with astonishing Parkour performances in action movies such as Les Rivières Pourpres 2 (2004) with Jean Reno. David was then contacted by Luc Besson to co-star as lead actor in the action movie District 13 (2004). He gained international fame for his portrayal of Leïto, and would reprise the role in the sequel District 13: Ultimatum (2009). He also starred in films such as Babylon A.D. and The Family, and worked as a stunt/Parkour coordinator/choreographer in blockbusters such as Transporter 2, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and Colombiana.

Seen as a "Living Legend" in China, David entered the Asian Movie market in 2016 and since then stared in several blockbusters.

Belle also stared in two web series, the noticeable Brutal: Taste of Violence, and À Jamais, awarded for is performances as "Best Actor" at the SeriesLand WebFest 2018 and Rio Webfest 2018.

Besides acting, Belle is the founder of Parkour, and was former President of the Parkour Commission with FIG, the International Federation of Gymnastics.

Inventor of a discipline known as Parkour, which consists of moving quickly and efficiently in any environment, using only the abilities of the human body.
His grandfather Gilbert, father Raymond, and brother Jeff have been highly skilled rescuers in the French military fire service.
He and his longtime girlfriend have a son together, Isaïah, born December 18, 2012.
David Belle's grandfather died during the First Indochina War. David's father Raymond was born in Vietnam and during the 1954 division of Vietnam was separated from his mother. Raymond was taken in by the French Army and, after the Battle of Dien Bien Phu, repatriated to France. Raymond completed his military education in 1954 at age 19 and served with the French sapeurs-pompiers (military firefighters). Raymond died in 1999.
