Nigel Williams(IV)
- Editor
- Editorial Department
Having started as a runner in 1989, Nigel has honed his craft and is now one of the most highly sought after editors in comedy.
He hit gold in 2000 when two strangers were looking to cut a pilot.
Those strangers were Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, and the finished pilot, The Office, became one of the biggest comedies of all time.
Nigel then went on to edit some of the most successful comedies on TV, including Extras, Outnumbered, Motherland, Horrible Histories and The Curse. He also edited 5 seasons of Episodes in Los Angeles, working with David Crane/Jeffrey Klarik (creator of Friends).
He was thrilled that his recent work on hit show Derry Girls was recognised with a coveted BFE award for Best Editor, shared with Lucien Clayton. He also has a role in setting Wrap Party Agency (represented by them), and is involved in trying to push more diversity within post production.
