New Details Surface For The Planned ‘Den Of Thieves’ Sequel

One of the most under-appreciated films of 2018 – in our minds anyway – is the Gerard Butler-led Den Of Thieves. We gave the film a very positive review when it was released over here in February, and were delighted when we learned that the $74 million or so was enough for Stx to pus ha sequel into development. Well, the first film’s writer/ director Christian Gudegast, who will also handle the sequel, has been speaking to Screen Rant about the planned Den Of Thieves sequel.

Den Of Thieves Den Of Thieves sequel aiming for Europe

“Every studio wants a little mini-franchise if possible,” Gudegast said to the site. “Thankfully, thank god, we’re all very fortunate that it did very well and now we’re going to do a sequel which is great. But that initially the plan. That’s just something that sort of you know as we were making

Review: Den of Thieves

This is the Pure Movies review of Den of Thieves, directed by Christian Gudegast and starring Gerard Butler, Pablo Schreiber, O'Shea Jackson Jr. and 50 Cent. It’s the start of 2018 and we always need another heist movie in these cold winter months to get the blood flowing. It’s irrelevant that Den of Thieves feels like a Heat copycat, with the age-old ‘cop versus robber’ cat-and-mouse game at play, it has up-to-date effects and weaponry to enjoy. Ignore the fact that the gamble is on-screen tough guy Gerard Butler to bring home the goods, especially in what are notoriously ‘slow months’ for any release while the big awards season proceeds.

After Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves - and that song! - hit big, the song work of Bryan Adams was in high demand at the movies...

Last month, this site ran an article about the power of feel good pop music to lighten our mood. As soon as I read it I rushed home and put on some Bryan Adams. This wasn’t just a sudden whim. I’ve been a huge fan of his ever since 'that bloke who sings about the best days of his life' released 'that song from that film'.

The film stars The Rock as a U.S. war veteran how now serves as a security expert for skyscrapers. In a stunning turn of events, Johnson’s Will Ford and his family are trapped atop the world’s tallest building when it catches ablaze.

All kidding aside, the film has been described as a mixture of ‘Die Hard‘ and ‘The Towering Inferno‘, the film seems to be exactly what you would expect from a Johnson-led movie called ‘Skyscraper’. At this point, what really sells me is the self-aware

Full-Length Trailer for Action Movie 'Skyscraper' with Dwayne Johnson

"No one really knows what would happen if things go wrong..." Universal debuted the full-length official trailer for the gnarly action movie Skyscraper, which also got a Super Bowl TV spot earlier. Skyscraper stars Dwayne Johnson as former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and U.S. war veteran Will Sawyer, who now assesses security for skyscrapers. When a fire breaks out on a big tower in China, he's framed for it, and finds himself on the run while trying to save his family trapped inside the burning skyscraper. This also stars Pablo Schreiber, Neve Campbell, Roland Møller, Kevin Rankin, Byron Mann, Chin Han, Paul McGillion, and Adrian Holmes. This really does look like a modern Die Hard update, set in China, with even cheesier CGI action. At least when he takes that giant leap at the end, he doesn't exactly make it and must grab on to a cable. This might be entertaining,
