From appearing in one of Netflix's most successful global film franchises to date and bringing charming, heartfelt characters to life on television, actress Momona Tamada (she/her) has quickly become "one to watch" in the entertainment industry today. Momona can be seen starring in Paramount's action feature film "Secret Headquarters" opposite Owen Wilson and Michael Peña. Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the film follows a kid who discovers a secret headquarters under his home that seems to belong to a superhero. He shares it with his friends, and they start to believe that his estranged father might have a secret double life. "Secret Headquarters" debuted exclusively on Paramount+ in August of 2022.

In television, Momona is known for her breakout role as Claudia Kishi in two seasons of Netflix's "The Baby-Sitters Club." Based on Ann M. Martin's beloved books, the series followed a group of girlfriends and their homegrown babysitting company. Momona was a standout as vice-president of the club, creative artist, and all-around fashion maven. The series went on to win Outstanding Children's or Family Viewing Series at the first annual Children's and Family Emmys, and Momona was also nominated as Outstanding Younger Performer in a Preschool, Children's or Young Teen Program.

This year, Momona can be seen starring as Ty Lee in the live-action "Avatar: The Last Airbender" opposite Gordon Cormier, Kiawentiio, Ian Ousley, Dallas Liu, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Ken Leung and Daniel Dae Kim. The adaptation released in February of 2024 and quickly topped the weekly global Netflix chart. It will return for Seasons 2 and 3. Momona also stars as Emiko in "The Spiderwick Chronicles" for Roku, opposite Christian Slater, Joy Bryant and Noah Cottrell. Momona is currently shooting "Happy Face" for Paramount+ opposite Dennis Quaid & Annaleigh Ashford.

In animation, Momona can be seen starring in the mythological adventure series "ONI: Thunder God's Tale," a four-part animated event that is now debuting on Netflix. This animated series received two Annie Awards in 2023 for Best Limited Series, and Best Production Design for TV/Media, and Momona was also nominated as Outstanding Younger Voice Performance by the Children's and Family Emmys.

Additional credits for Momona include appearing as a young Lara Jean in Netflix's global sensation "To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You," its follow-up "To All The Boys: Always and Forever, Lara Jean," and a lead role in Netflix's family film "The Main Event." In television, Momona appeared on AMC's award-winning series "The Terror" and Amazon's "The Boys." Momona was recently featured in the Rodarte Fall 2023 campaign on the Vogue Runway, and is a brand ambassador for the luxury brand Celine.

Raised in Vancouver, Canada, Momona was born to Japanese immigrant parents. Her name aptly means 'hundreds of beaches,' inspired by her hometown of Vancouver. Aside from acting, Momona is an award-winning dancer and has been competing since the age of four. She has performed in the B.C. Summer Games Opening Ceremonies, and with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Commercially, Momona has modeled in the ivivva campaign for Canadian powerhouse athletic wear brand lululemon. Momona is fluent in Japanese and in her free time, she is an avid baker and cake decorator.
