Gina Markowitsch

Gina Markowitsch is a Swiss actress based in Berlin, Germany. She graduated from the Academy for Music and Theater in Rostock in 2019. Her skills have been further developed through workshops with Andreas Dresen and Sigrid Andersson. Following her formal training, she spent four years performing at the Theatre Young Generation in Dresden. She is fluent in English, and has a foundational knowledge of Italian and French.
She played a leading role in "Welt Unter", which was produced by Max Gleschinski and Jean-Pierre Meyer-Gehrke in 2017. She starred as the leading actress in the video installations "Doba and Lotte" and "We All-Except the Others" by the conceptual artist Rémy Markowitsch which were shown at Kindl Berlin and in the world heritage "Völklinger Hütte" in 2023.
Gina aspires to work in France and Italy as well as Switzerland and Great Britain. She won the funding prize of the Armin Ziegler Stiftung Switzerland in 2018 and is currently represented by the Central International Placement (ZAV) Berlin.
