Founder and CEO of sports management conglomerate International Management Group (IMG), which represents such celebrities as Tiger Woods, Wayne Gretzky, Arnold Palmer, Itzhak Perlman, Kiri te Kanawa, Andre Agassi and Venus and Serena Williams. The Smithsonian Institution, the Nobel Foundation, the U.S. Olympic Committee, the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, the Kennedy Space Center and the Grammys are also clients. McCormack also handled special projects for Margaret Thatcher, Mikhail Gorbachev and Pope John Paul II. IMG has 80 offices in 32 countries.
His 1984 book "What They Don't Teach You at Harvard Business School" spent 21 consecutive weeks at #1 on the New York Times bestseller list. Other books: "The Terrible Truth About Lawyers" (1987), "What They Still Don't Teach You at Harvard Business School" (1989), "The 110% Solution" (1991), "Hit The Ground Running" (1993).
His widow, Betsy Nagelsen, is a two-time Australian Open doubles champion and a Wimbledon doubles finalist.
McCormack Advisors International, a joint venture between Merrill Lynch and IMG, was formed in July, 2000 to deliver personalized financial management services to high-net worth individuals.
