Taylor Kinney Taking a Break From ‘Chicago Fire’ for a Personal Matter
Taylor Kinney, who portrays Kelly Severide on “Chicago Fire,” is stepping away from the NBC drama. A source close to production confirms to Variety that the actor is on a leave of absence to deal with a person matter.

Kinney has led the Dick Wolf series since its debut in 2012. In addition to the firefighter series, he has appeared on all of the spinoffs, including “Chicago Med,” “Chicago P.D.” and the short-lived “Chicago Justice.”

The “One Chicago” world has seen many changes over the last few years — specifically on “Chicago Fire.” Jesse Spencer exited the show in 2021 after 200 episodes, but returned briefly for a cameo in the Season 10 finale, which saw Kinney’s Severide marry Stella (Miranda Rae Mayo).

Co-creator Derek Haas, who has served as showrunner for all 11 seasons of “Chicago Fire” and on CBS’ “FBI: International,” is leaving Wolf Entertainment at the end of Season 11.

‘Chicago Med’: Will Colin Donnell Return as Connor?
It’s been three years since Colin Donnell was last seen on Chicago Med, and given Yaya DaCosta just returned as nurse April Sexton (for Brian Tee’s farewell), we can’t help but wonder if we could see another familiar face, specifically Dr. Connor Rhodes, again soon. “I have no idea, to be honest,” Donnell told TV Insider recently while discussing his latest series, Irreverent, on Peacock. “I have not ever heard any news about Connor’s return, but I know that they said the door was always open and he’s somewhere at another hospital doing something.” He continued, “It was a great time over there and it’s been fun to keep up with the news and the comings and goings of the cast and Chicago itself and that show in particular will always hold a special place.” (Irreverent even started with his character, a mediator for the mob,

‘Big Sky’ Actress T.V. Carpio Joins ‘Chicago Med’ in Recurring Role
T.V. Carpio, the actress who has appeared in shows such as Big Sky and The Client List, has joined the NBC medical drama Chicago Med in a recurring role. As reported by Deadline, Carpio will portray Dr. Grace Song, a new doctor hired by Jack Dayton (Sasha Roiz), and is set to shake things up when the show returns in 2023. The casting comes following several cast departures, including Brian Tee, Asjha Cooper, Sarah Rafferty, Kristen Hager, and Guy Lockard. Carpio’s Dr. Song is likely to be one of many changes for the popular medical series. This season’s fall finale saw Roiz’s Jack purchase a controlling interest in Gaffney Medical Group, which suggests he will be setting up his own team as he rebuilds the hospital in his image. Chicago Med, created by Dick Wolf and Matt Olmstead, launched in 2015 and premiered its eighth season on September 21, 2022. It

‘Chicago Med’: T.V. Carpio Joins NBC Medical Drama
Exclusive: T.V. Carpio (Big Sky) has joined the cast of NBC’s Chicago Med in a recurring role, Deadline hears. She will portray Dr. Grace Song, a new doctor hired by Jack Dayton (Sasha Roiz) who will shake things up when the show returns in the spring.

Grace’s hiring comes as no surprise following the news that Jack bought controlling interest in Gaffney Medical Group in the fall finale—building up his own team is par for the course. If Sharon Goodwin’s (S. Epatha Merkerson) reaction to the news of Jack’s come-up is any indication of what’s to come, however, it’s more than likely the addition of Grace won’t be the only change ahead for the hospital.

Carpio’s casting follows multiple cast exits including Brian Tee, Asjha Cooper, Sarah Rafferty, Kristen Hager, and Guy Lockard.

Chicago Med is executive produced by Dick Wolf,

So close and yet so far. Just shy of Season 22’s Semi-Finals, two contestants were eliminated from The Voice Tuesday.

Based on the poll that followed TVLine’s recap Monday, the unlucky duo was going to be Team Gwen Stefani’s Kique and Team Blake Shelton’s Rowan Grace. Me — whether or not I have an ear infection — I’d have advanced Kique over Team Blake’s Brayden Lape; despite his way-better-than-average-for-him showing Monday, the teenage dream lacks the experience and/or instincts at this point to be a really compelling performer.
