Stars: Andy On, Jessica Cambensy, Michael Wong, Terence Yin, Abby Fung, Jack Kao, Han Chang, Heng-yin Chou, Sharon Hsu, Philip Ng, Chi Zhang, Kwok Cheung Tsang, Candy Ka-Man Yuen | Written and Directed by Joe Chien

A sequel to Joe Chien’s zombie horror-cum-torture porn flick, Zombie 108, Zombie Fight Club sees Andy (Andy On) and Jessica (Jessica Cambensy) – real originality in naming your characters there – escaping a zombie overrun apartment block in the corner of near-future devastated Taipei city (as seen in the original film). In the midst of this zombie holocaust, with all social structures on the brink of collapse, contaminated drugs cause hordes of rappers and strippers to become infected and join the aggressive flesheaters. When a Swat team arrives on the scene, it seems the cavalry have arrived, but they only want the stash of drug cash…

2012′s Zombie 108 was something of a cause célèbre within the horror community.

Film Review: ‘Lost for Words’

Film Review: ‘Lost for Words’
Sufficiently sweet to serve as a date movie for all ages, “Lost for Words” comes across as almost subversively retrograde in its old-fashioned approach to charting the slow blossoming of a cross-cultural romance. There’s doubtless a simpatico audience out there for helmer Stanley J. Orzel’s leisurely paced drama about the bond that forms between an American It specialist and a Chinese ballerina in contemporary Hong Kong. But it’s doubtful that many of the folks most likely to enjoy this modestly engaging love story will succumb to its charms until it reaches home-screen platforms.

Grace Huang (“The Man With the Iron Fists”) makes an appealing impression throughout as Anna, a Beijing-trained dancer who quickly rises to the rank of solo performer after she lands a position with a Hong Kong ballet troupe. Unlike Mei Mei (Joman Chiang), her more uninhibited friend and roommate, Anna is a demure innocent

Sleeping Dogs Will Feature A-List Voice Actors

From the get go, it was obvious that Square Enix truly believes in Sleeping Dogs. However, that fact is even more evident now that we know the Japanese publisher went an extra mile by asking A-list voice actors to step in and give life to its sandbox action game’s cast of characters. It would have been easier if they’d casted relative unknowns, but that didn’t happen. Instead, those who play through the impressive-looking title will hear vocal offerings from the likes of Tom Wilkinson, Emma Stone, Will Yun Lee, Lucy Liu and Jackie Mah.

Sleeping Dogs features over two hours of rich dialogue in a story inspired by some of Hong Kong’s finest films,” said Stephen van der Mescht, executive producer at United Front Games. “As huge fans of the genre we knew exactly who we wanted; we knew who could bring the script to life.

Fog (Wu) Review – Edinburgh Film Festival

  • HeyUGuys
Being a writer, producer and editor for her directorial debut, Kit Hui’s film Fog has finally been premiered in the UK at the Edinburgh Film Festival, after two years in the making.

I am glad to say that this is one of my favourite films this year with its simple, beautifully shot character-driven approach to storytelling.

Twenty-something Wai (Terence Yin) is immediately introduced to the audience, suffering from a great amount of memory loss and trying to find out who he is; a simple plot which helps us to identify with Wai trying to discover himself with the help of his family and friends, building up a strong relationship with the people who he obviously never really had a relationship with previously.

Having a likeable main character who is innocently trying to figure out what he was like, trying to correct the mistakes that his old self had made

Josie Ho "Dream Home" Interview: Psycho Killing Party!

"Dream Home": Beneath the soft, romantic title (1) lurks what might possibly be the craziest, bloodiest slasher film ever made in Hong Kong! Produced, directed and written by the rebellious and prolific Pang Ho-cheung ("You Shoot I Shoot", "Men Suddenly In Black"), who doesn't give a damn that its sexual and violent content guarantees it won't be shown in Mainland China, "Dream Home" had an unparalleled $4 million production budget (amazing, considering the current Hong Kong cinema crisis) and is also the first movie produced and financed by 852 Films, a company co-founded by "Dream Home" lead actress Josie Ho. While involved in her role as a young, hard working woman willing to do anything to have her own apartment, Josie Ho revealed to Action Queens some exclusive information and gruesome anecdotes about her work on the movie, both in front of and behind the camera. Let the massacre begin!...
