One of the 36 founders of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS)
First became a writer with American Mutoscope & Biograph [us] in 1908.
When at Amerian Mutoscope and Biograph Co., Woods was writer of the 1909 film The Red Man's View (1909), for which a The Red Man's View remake is in development from the original film, by American Mutoscope and Biograph Co.
Co-founder of Allied Authors, a US film production company, in 1923.
