The movie, which world preemed in competition in Locarno, tells the story of Mary’s struggles between duty, the love for another man and the politics of the crown, as told through letters written to Queen Elizabeth I of England. The letters ultimately lead to her imprisonment and death.
Film Festival Flix has also acquired North American rights for Katherine Randolph’s “Adulthood” and James Huang’s “Starting from Scratch.”
