Alan Wells was born on March 23, 1926 in Benzonia, Michigan, USA as George Alan Wells. He was an actor, known for Richard Diamond, Private Detective (1957), The Adventures of Champion (1955) and The Great Missouri Raid (1951). He was married to Barbara Lang and Claudia Barrett. He died on June 14, 2008 in Reno, Nevada, USA.

He appeared with first wife 'Claudia Barrett (I)' in episodes of The Lone Ranger (1949) and Studio 57 (1954).
Made his film debut playing Lame Bull in the movie Apache Chief (1949).
First wed to Claudia Barrett in the early 1950s, he married Barbara Lang in 1956 in Ensenada, Mexico. He met her when she was a co-star with him on "Death Valley Days" (1955)_. The couple was estranged by March of 1957 and their marriage annulled in 1958 when Lang claimed that Welles' divorce from Barrett was finalized ten months after the date of their own wedding.
Died in a nursing home in Reno, Nevada after a long illness on June 14, 2008. He was 82.
