It looks like Smallville star Tom Welling might actually finally make his way into the Arrowverse. According to a recent report from worldofmera on Twitter, Welling confirmed at Armageddon Expo in New Zealand that he will appear in Arrow Season 8, which is the final season of the series.

Welling reportedly said, "I will be on Arrow next season", and this is what was shared on Twitter:

He also apparently turned down the opportunity to play Superman in CW’a Supergirl, which is kind of a bummer because fans would have loved that!

The facts:

Smallville’s Tom Welling Reportedly Set To Appear In Arrow Season 8

We hope you weren’t expecting Emily Bett Rickards to stick around for Arrow‘s season 7 finale.

According to series showrunner Beth Schwartz, Rickards’ fan favorite character, Felicity Smoak, will make her exit before the end of season 7, and therefore won’t be seen in the upcoming closer – barring some unexpected turn of events, or a curveball from The CW designed to catch viewers off guard.

She’ll be missed, of course, but the show must go on and go on it will, as we already know that preparations for the eighth and final season are now underway and apparently, it’s going to deliver on something fans have wanted to see for a very long time: Tom Welling in the Arrowverse.

‘Gotham’: Fox Series Has Batman And 100th Episode On The Way

  • Deadline
As a prequel series, there’s always been an unavoidable finish line waiting for Gotham. The Fox series ends when Batman begins.

That finish line is looming and the end is near for the series, which is set in Bruce Wayne’s hometown in the years and months leading up to his first masked-man adventures as Batman. After five seasons, Gotham will conclude with a two-part series finale that airs April 18 and April 25. The series will also hit the magic number with its 100th episode with that final broadcast. The poster released today (found below) by Fox makes it clear that the final episodes will deliver what fans have long-waited for — an appearance by a certain caped crusader.

The show has been an eccentric entry in the television life of DC Comics characters. Its main protagonist, for one thing, doesn’t wear a cape or mask and never will. The

The Titans cast just added some major Kryptonian muscle: Joshua Orpin has joined the ensemble for the series regular role of Conner Kent, aka Superboy, a key character in the upcoming second season of the superhero series on the DC Universe subscription streaming service.

Orpin, a Melbourne native and graduate of the prestigious Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, will be seen in the upcoming Foxtel drama series Upright and his most recent appearance was in The Blake Mysteries: Ghost Stories for the Seven Network in his native Australia. Orpin made his feature-film debut in The Neon Spectrum while his stage credits include A Midsummer Nights Dream for the Australian Shakespeare Company, The Matchmaker, The Tempest and The Diary of Anne Frank.

The name Superboy has a long but somewhat twisty history in the pages of DC Comics and on the small screen as well. The original Superboy was introduced

10 Things You Didn’t Know about Tom Welling

Tom Welling is one of those individuals that is very simplistic in his thinking at times and yet does think of grander things that he can do with his life. But his approach to them seems to be a very work-oriented thing and it’s been shown by the way he’s gone about getting his roles that he’s a guy that gets in there and makes sure to do as much to complete a role as he can when it comes to making people believe in the character. This is the kind of depth you want to see from actors and

Gotham Ep Says We’ll See More Of Batman Than Smallville Showed Superman

One of the biggest reasons I was glad for Gotham being renewed for its fifth and final season was that we’d likely see the series end in proper fashion. After all, I’m sure countless others would’ve felt cheated after devoting so much of their time watching the prequel show, only never to see Batman in the last episode.

Most fortunate for us all, we’ll be seeing just that sometime this spring. What makes this certainty exponentially more exciting is that it won’t be for a brief flash forward as I’d long assumed. Rather, nearly the entirety of the series finale will be spent in the future, effectively allowing us to see just whom these characters ultimately become.

Suffice it to say, this knowledge should put the kibosh on any lingering fears of a repeat of Smallville‘s conclusion. Though that particular finale did a

Crisis On Infinite Earths Will Be The Most Complicated Crossover Yet

In a first for The CW’s shared universe, the end of last fall’s “Elseworlds” crossover revealed the title of the next big event. And it wasn’t just any title, as it confirmed that the next multi-part extravaganza would be an adaptation of “Crisis on Infinite Earths”, arguably the biggest DC comics event of all time.

Now, we have it from the horse’s mouth that “Crisis” will be the most ambitious Arrowverse event so far. The CW president Mark Pedowitz told reporters at the Television Critics Association that the crossover “will be the biggest, most complicated one that they’ve done.”

The announcement that a Crisis was coming promised that the event would arrive this fall, so presumably during the usual late November/early December slot of previous events that’ve united Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl. Legends of Tomorrow didn’t take part in “Elseworlds” but,

The Punisher Season 2 Easter Egg Confirms Batman Exists In The McU

We’re used to Marvel’s Netflix shows making oblique references to the Avengers, like a nod to “that green dude” here or a kid dressed up as Captain America there. It turns out though that The Punisher season 2 actually featured an easily-missed easter egg relating to a hero from the other side.

An eagle-eyed Reddit user has shared a screenshot from episode 1, from the scene where Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) meets the young son of a woman he spent the night with. It looks like the kid’s a big fan of the Dark Knight, too, as his backpack has a Batman logo on it. Specifically, the emblem from the 1966 TV series.

Arrowverse Fans Going Crazy Over Crisis On Infinite Earths Announcement

As if everything that happened wasn’t enough to thrill DC fans, this week’s “Elseworlds” crossover ended on an epic announcement: fall 2019 will see the Arrowverse adapting the seminal comic book event Crisis on Infinite Earths!

“Elseworlds” itself did a great job of laying the groundwork for “Crisis,” introducing The Monitor, Psycho-Pirate and other key players in the saga. There were even several references to the fact that a bigger crisis is coming. However, we weren’t expecting that title card to appear at the end and tell us the name of 2019’s crossover, something that we’ve never learned so early before.

Now, the stage is set for the TV crossover to top all TV crossovers next year and understandably, fans are losing their minds over the shock reveal.

Here Are All The Ways That Elseworlds Paid Homage To Smallville

Going into the Arrowverse’s big crossover “Elseworlds,” we were prepared for it to reference The CW’s previous DC show Smallville. We’d already been shown the opening scene, for example, which featured the Superman prequel series’ version of Green Arrow as a neat (if tragic) easter egg. That turned out to be just the tip of the iceberg, though, as part one of the three-night event went above and beyond in pleasing Smallville fans.

After realizing that their identities have been switched and everyone on their earth believes they’re each other, Barry Allen and Oliver Queen travel to Earth-38 to get Supergirl’s help. Specifically, they visit Clark Kent’s hometown of Smallville, Kansas, and as they arrive there, the Smallville theme song blasts onto the soundtrack. For those who don’t know, it’s Remy Zero’s “Save Me,” which has been burned into viewers’ heads

Reality Becomes Warped In Awesome New Elseworlds Trailer

With the “Elseworlds” crossover being less than a week away from kicking off, The CW sure aren’t taking it for granted that everyone out there’s going to tune in. Just the other night, we were pleasantly surprised by an ominous prologue for the event during the closing moments of Supergirl, depicting the Monitor seemingly laying waste to Earth-90.

This time, though, the latest treat comes in the form of a new promo, which uses a mix of footage we’ve already seen along with some fresh material to tease a warped reality where, among other things, Barry Allen is Green Arrow and Oliver Queen’s The Flash. Presumably, both heroes will feel like a fish out of water when finding themselves transplanted into the other’s life. It doesn’t look like Amell will just be doing a Grant Gustin impression, or vice versa, either.

At least, we sure hope not,

Stephen Amell Teases Exciting Elseworlds-Smallville Connection

Though Arrow is often regarded as being the father of the appropriately titled “Arrowverse” – and rightfully so – it’s important we not forget how Smallville laid the groundwork several years before. Hey, had it not introduced its own version of Oliver Queen, played by Justin Hartley, and featured a myriad of other guest DC heroes and villains, then The CW would’ve never pondered a solo series focused on the Emerald Archer in the first place.

Now, in 2018, we’re sitting here anticipating what looks to be a truly awesome crossover event in the form of “Elseworlds.” And despite it coming to fruition long after Tom Welling put Clark Kent behind him, the shadow of the Superman prequel series looms large.

As you may remember, it was confirmed not long ago how the exterior location used for the Kent farm on Smallville will return during the crossover, this time serving

All 12 ‘Cheaper by the Dozen’ Kids 15 Years Later (Photos)
In the 2003 film “Cheaper by the Dozen” — a remake of the classic 1950s film of the same name — the Baker family moved their 12 children into their new home and into our hearts. However, with 15 years gone by, you can’t help but wonder where all members of the Baker dozen have gone. Whether they’re still in the industry or not, here’s what all Baker kids have been up to.

Even before starring as Nora, the eldest of the Baker family, Piper already secured acting credits so it comes to no surprise that she continues reeling in credits today. In addition to adding to her already-lengthy list of roles, Perabo uses her celebrity status to advocate for gun control and feminism, among many other causes.

Oliver Queen Will Channel His Inner Barry Allen In Elseworlds Crossover

By now, you’d think we’ve said all we could about the upcoming “Elseworlds” crossover, but it’s arguable there’s more intrigue and excitement going into this particular Arrowverse event than any other to have preceded it. And with just under two weeks to go until the adventure begins, we’ll undoubtedly see more news flooding the web.

So, if you’ve been keeping up with all of the assorted info, then there’s a very good chance you’re having a difficult time deciding what’s the most appealing thing about the mashup. Of course, there’s Ruby Rose making her debut as the first ever live action iteration of Batwoman, but then again, you also have Tyler Hoechlin returning as Superman – and in a black costume, no less. Like I said, there’s a lot going for this one.

Today, though, we’ll focus on another key component in the tale,

Smallville’s Michael Rosenbaum Wishes Supergirl’s Lex Luthor Good Luck

Though Supergirl tells the story of Kara Zor-El first and foremost, it’s pretty much impossible to avoid certain hallmarks of the DC Universe due to her being the cousin of Superman. As such, Tyler Hoechlin has already shown up as Big Blue on several occasions – and will return this fall for the “Elseworlds” crossover – not to mention other vital characters such as James Olsen and Cat Grant putting in appearances.

Fortunately, what had arguably been the biggest piece missing from the puzzle was found earlier this month, with Two and a Half Men‘s Jon Cryer being officially cast as Lex Luthor. As was to be expected, this decision has generated its share of controversy, though recurring series director Kevin Smith says we have nothing to fear because this take on one of DC’s greatest villains will be quite dark.

Naturally, fans have been wondering what other men
