Marco Vermaas is an award winning sound designer and re-recording mixer. He lives in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. After getting his bachelor degree in Fine Arts at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in 1989, he started working on films. He worked as DOP, Editor, Animator and Visual Effects artist, until he discovered sound. He founded Sound Design Studio Vermaas in 1995 in the center of Amsterdam. With his talented crew he has worked on the sound of numerous films and television series.
Marco Vermaas is known for November (2017), Bumperkleef (2019) and Speak No Evil (2022). He worked on Netflix series Dirty Lines (2022), Amazon Prime Video series Modern Love Amsterdam (2022) and recently on Disney+ series Nemesis (2024).
