Composed by multiple-Latin-Grammy winner Julieta Venegas, "Bajo Otra Luz" is taken from Furtado's first full-length Spanish album "Mi Plan" which has been in stores since September 2009. Venegas's pregnancy reportedly has prevented her to appear in the music video which was filmed on the streets of Little Italy, Toronto.

"Mi Plan" reflects once again Furtado's artistry, diversity and the uniqueness of everything which she writes. She doesn't feel this is a "Latin Album", she says that this is just her soul speaking in Spanish, as all her albums "just music for the world". Music is a universal language and in this album she has brought the world together, working with musicians, writers
