Diana Van der Vlis was born on June 9, 1935 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada as Diana Mae Van Der Vlis. She was an actress, known for X: The Man with the X-Ray Eyes (1963), The DuPont Show of the Month (1957) and The Swimmer (1968). She was married to Roger Donald. She died on October 22, 2001 in Missoula, Montana, USA.

Despite a long career on Broadway, she is best known for playing "Dr. Nell Beaulac" on the former TV soap opera Ryan's Hope (1975).
Studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) in London and acted in Canada before moving to New York in the spring of 1956.
Naturalized U.S. citizen.
Was nominated for Broadway's 1957 Tony Award as Best Supporting or Featured Actress (Dramatic) for her performance as Cordelia Biddle in "The Happiest Millionaire."
Mother of actor Matthew Powers.
