Born in Anthens in 1966, where he studied marketing at university and worked as a photographer, assistant director and editor of pop promos, as well as the produced of a radio programme. Moved to Berlin (Germany) in 1991 where he studied directing at the German Film and Television Academy (Deutschen Film- und Fernsehakademie). His short film, Parlez-moi d'amour (1994) was awarded a German Film Prize in 1995. My Sweet Home (2001) was his first feature film.
