Suits Casts Donna's New Love Interest!

Donna Paulsen is getting a love interest in the back half of Suits Season 8.

Per Deadline, Grimm grad, Sasha Roiz has joined the USA Network legal drama as the new man in Donna's life.

Thomas Kessler is the mystery man's name, and he has been a client of the firm for quite a while thanks to his high-end furniture design company.

Donna steps in to help when Kessler shows up at the firm with an issue, but one thing leads to another, and they get closer to each other.

This casting will probably not go down well with fans who are still lobbying for Donna and Harvey to get together.

Despite several teases, their relationship can't seem to get past the platonic stage.

It's all getting a little too much to keep up with. What's more, Roiz will be a

They join a cast that already includes Simon Kassianides and Morgan Spector.

A Preview of Joss Whedon's Upcoming Firefly Comic Book Has Been Released

Thanks to Boom! Studios we have a little preview to share with you for Joss Whedon's upcoming Firefly comic book series. This gives us our first look at the new adventures of the Serenity crew. So far, from what I've seen here it looks great! I'm especially excited about the stories that this comic will tell.

The new Firefly comic book series is coming from Boom! Studios and it will explore the Unification War and what the characters like Malcolm Reynolds and Zoe Alleyne Washburne experienced during those battles!

It's cool that we are going to get stories that will dive into the history of the war that took place between the Alliance and the Independents. ‘Mr. Robot’ Is Ending, and Cable Audiences May Not See Another Show as Bold For a Long, Long Time

‘Mr. Robot’ Is Ending, and Cable Audiences May Not See Another Show as Bold For a Long, Long Time
For those who have been following just how many projects “Mr. Robot” creator Sam Esmail and star Rami Malek have taken on in recent years, Wednesday’s news that the fourth season will be “Robot’s” last isn’t that surprising. Esmail has always said he had a fixed ending for the show in mind, in part because the show was based on an original screenplay he chose to expand for the series; a show which stood out as one of the high points of TV’s recent boom in daring and groundbreaking storytelling

While Wednesday’s news was not a shock, as Esmail told IndieWire in an interview last fall the midpoint of Season 3 was the midpoint of his original story — which theoretically meant there were another two-and-a-half seasons left in his original concept. “That would add up to five seasons, right? That’s not bad,” he said at the time.

‘Coco’ Takes Top Honors at Imagen Awards, Film’s Star Talks Sequel Possibilities
While the theme song for “Coco” may be “Remember Me,” the outpouring of love for the Pixar film was certainly hard to forget at the 33rd annual Imagen Awards held at the Jw Marriott in Downtown Los Angeles.

“‘Coco’ was just so beautifully conceived, I loved it. And wasn’t that abuela marvelous? With that enormous head of hers,” Rita Moreno, who was nominated for her work on “One Day at a Time,” said of the film that took home the awards for creative achievement, best picture, and best director on Saturday.

Character designer on the film Alonso Martinez noted that “We began ‘Coco’ with a simple thing: a love note to Mexico, for all the beauty of the people, the traditions, and the depth of love that is inside Mexico.”

Anthony Gonzalez, who voiced young guitar-strummer Miguel in the film, shared his hopes that the story of “Coco” will

‘Random Acts of Flyness’ Creator Terence Nance On Supporting Black Women Filmmakers With His Production Company

  • Indiewire
Over a decade ago, long before he launched the HBO series “Random Acts of Flyness,” multimedia artist Terence Nance and a cadre of like-minded black artists launched Mvmt, a Brooklyn-based production company focused on producing stories about black women. In the wake of “Flyness” landing a second season at HBO, Nance spoke to IndieWire about the company’s growing mission, and its plans to support “Flyness” writer-director Naima Ramos-Chapman’s second short film — a psycho-surrealist thriller titled “Piu Piu.”

“‘Piu Piu’ is the embodiment of not only Naima’s growth as a filmmaker, but also of the type of projects that Mvmt is interested in making,” said Nance in a recent interview with IndieWire. “Mvmt is supportive of voices like hers, as part of a community of artists who are doing it for ourselves. And the film, as well as Naima, and in a larger sense Mvmt, represent the efforts

New Variant Cover Art For The Upcoming Firefly Comic Book Series

While we watch every other old TV series get a revival or a reboot, the best thing that we can get from Firefly is a new comic book series. I'm not complaining, I'm happy that we are going to get new Firefly adventures! I just wish it would have been a new live-action or animated series to come along with it! Today we have a new piece of variant cover art for the series created by Jg Jones.

Which, as you know, is the war that Mal and Zoe fought together on.

Suits Season 8 Episode 1 Review: Right-Hand Man

For those who thought losing both Meghan Markle and Patrick J. Adams would be the death knell for SuitsSuits Season 8 Episode 1 successfully put those fears to bed.

Suits has been on the air for a long time, and there's no denying that Suits Season 6 and Suits Season 7 featured some of the worst storytelling in the history of the series, so it was about time there was some change.

My biggest surprise on "Right-Hand Man" was that my favorite character was Katrina. If you watch Suits online, you know Amanda Schull spent much of her time on the periphery.

Katrina is very career-oriented, and if she associates with a firm, she wants to know they are following the correct procedures so that her name will not get dragged through the mud at some point.

It was difficult enough for her to agree to return after being fired, and of course,

‘Suits’ Premiere: Creator Aaron Korsh On Show’s New Dynamic, Season 8 Clashes, Possible End Date And the Royal Wedding

  • Deadline
Spoiler Alert: This story contains details of tonight’s Suits Season 8 premiere.

Suits 2.0 launched tonight with the season premiere of USA Network series’ eighth season, the first without original co-stars Patrick J Adams and Meghan Markle. The new opening sequence reflected the new setup — an ensemble legal drama led by Gabriel Macht and a regular cast featuring three original members, Macht, Rick Hoffman and Sarah Rafferty, and three new ones, Katherine Heigl and newly promoted Dule Hill and Amanda Schull.

The Season 8 premiere established the battle lines at the newly merged Zane Specter Litt, with Harvey Specter (Macht) and Heigl’s Samantha Wheeler going at each other as part of a wager between Harvey and Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce) over who will be managing partner. And while the managing partner question was answered by the end of the premiere, with Harvey handing the reins to Robert, the episode put Alex

‘Suits’: As Katherine Heigl Joins the Season 8 Cast, This USA Drama Still Features Some of TV’s Strongest Women
When “Suits” returns for its eighth season this Wednesday, a lot has changed: Gina Torres, Patrick J. Adams, and Meghan Markle are gone, and returning actors Dulé Hill (“Psych”) and Amanda Schull (“12 Monkeys”) have been upped to series regulars. But the biggest evolution may be the arrival of Katherine Heigl (“Grey’s Anatomy”) as Samantha Wheeler, a role that series creator Aaron Korsh wrote for her after discovering Heigl was a fan.

Heigl said she was attracted to the gig because Samantha “is a badass. She’s not to be trifled with,” Heigl told IndieWire. “That’s really fun too because playing a strong, powerful woman who can really kick ass in a room and not be afraid of the consequences and not be afraid of confrontation or conflict—things that I’m constantly worried about—it’s really freeing to do on set.”
