Teasdale trained for the stage at the New York School of Expression. Acting on the stage from 1924, and after appearing in the stage play "The Constant Wife" with Ethel Barrymore in 1927, Teasdale was offered a film contract. In films, she often played society wives, the 'other woman' and second leads in comedies. Teasdale married actor Adolphe Menjou in 1935, a union that lasted until his death in 1963. In the late 1940s Teasdale and her husband appeared on a popular radio show which lasted into the 1950s. Following Menjou's death, she busied herself with her hobby of costume design.

  • Trivia
Due to husband Menjou's periodic illnesses, Veree's career was placed on the back burner and she lost several top-notch roles that could have put her in the film forefront. After a major lull in the late 40s, the couple was offered their own radio syndicated interview program by producer Fredric Ziv.
