Marianne Tatum was born in Houston, Texas, attended the prestigious Kinkaid Preparatory School there, then moved to New York to attend college at Manhattan School of Music. After her debut with the Houston Grand Opera as Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro, she made her Broadway Debut as Jenny Lind in Barnum, winning a Theatre World Award. She also starred in Broadway's The Three Musketeers, earning a Drama Desk Nomination for her hilarious portrayal of Milady DeWinter. Ms. Tatum has starred in plays around the country at the Guthrie, Goodman, and Huntington Theatres, Offstage she has parented a special needs daughter and earned graduate degrees in Social Work, and all but thesis towards a Master's Degree in The History of American Religious Thought. Ms. Tatum returned full-time to New York and the theatre/television world in 2010.
