Alexander Tansman was born on 12 June 1897 in Lódz, Poland, Russian Empire [now Lódz, Lódzkie, Poland]. He was a composer, known for Paris Underground (1945), Flesh and Fantasy (1943) and Sister Kenny (1946). He was married to Colette Cras and Anna Eleonora Brociner. He died on 15 November 1986 in Paris, France.
