Netflix Partners With ITV To Co-Produce Paranoid

In what appears to be a further step in expanding its creation of original content, Netflix is to partner with UK’s ITV to co-produce a new eight-part thriller titled Paranoid. The show will be broadcast on UK television before arriving on the streaming platform later in 2016. The television event is being written by Bill Gallagher (Lark Rise To Candleford), and features a seemingly small but tragic incident that leads to international drama.

Paranoid will begin with a young woman doctor being brutally stabbed to death by a masked man while she plays with her three year old son in a busy community play park. The attack occurs in full view of multiple witnesses, and a group of detectives are tasked with investigating the incident, in order to figure out what happened and why. The information from one witness points to a much greater threat than anyone was expecting, however,

Inbetweeners' James Buckley Starring In The Comedian's Guide To Survival
Usually found (wrongly) bragging about his status with the opposite sex as Jay in The Inbetweeners on big and small screens, James Buckley is striking out away from the gang for a starring role in The Comedian’s Guide To Survival. With Paul Kaye, MyAnna Buring and Neil Stuke in the cast, the film finds Buckley as failed comic James Mullinger, who travels the world interviewing more successful funny types to find the secret to comedy. And because he has to talk to funny types, the film, which is in production right now, features a host of cameos from people who make their trade cracking gags at a variety of levels including Jimmy Carr, Omid Dalilli, Gilbert Gottfried and more. Mark Murphy wrote the script for this one and is directing, including a stint at the Just For Laughs comedy festival in July. Expect the film to hit festivals and

Silk not returning for 4th series: BBC One drama ending this month

Silk will not return for a fourth series.

BBC One's BAFTA-nominated drama starring Maxine Peake will draw to a close following two final episodes, airing on March 24 and 31.

Series creator Peter Moffat told Radio Times: "It has been a complete joy to work with a group of actors as good as this and with a lead actress who I consider to be the best there is.

"The main characters in Silk all have personal and professional stories which are coming to a natural conclusion at the end of this current series.

"It would be dishonest as a writer, and unfair to the integrity of the show and everyone involved in it, to prolong the series beyond what I hope is a powerful and compelling denouement."

Rupert Penry-Jones and Neil Stuke also star in Silk, which debuted on BBC One in 2011.

The legal drama's most recent series has been pulling in overnight audiences of around 4m,

Doctor Who – The Crooked Man Review

Villordsutch reviews Big Finish Audio Production's Doctor Who - The Crooked Man...

Directed by Nicholas Briggs.

Written by John Dorney.

Starring Tom Baker, Louise Jameson, Sarah Smart and Neil Stuke.

"Winter at the seaside. The wind blows. The waves crash. People are dying and a strange spindly figure stalks the cold, deserted streets. A typical holiday for the Doctor and Leela in other words. When they stumble across a grotesque series of murders at the coast, the Tardis travellers realise the local constabulary is out of its depth. Something supernatural has come to town, something evil. And it all seems to be tied in to a particular young family. Monsters lurk behind strange doors. Tragic secrets wait to be uncovered. And somewhere, deep within, the Crooked Man sits. He is waiting for you."

My first Big Finish review and I’ve started light (or lite if you favour that). No Daleks,

'Masterpiece Mystery!': 'Silk' gowns enrobe sex, drinking and Machiavellian politics

On Sunday, Aug. 25 (check local listings), PBS' "Masterpiece Mystery!" premieres the three-part BBC drama "Silk," created and written by Peter Moffat.

It does feature people in white wigs and robes, but it's not a period piece. Silk fabric does figure in the plot, but nobody's on his or her way to, or returning from, the Far East with bolts of cloth. There's a bar but no juggling of glasses.

Instead, Moffat drew on his experiences as a barrister (in the U.K. split legal profession, they specialize in courtroom advocacy and drafting legal pleadings) to tell the story of up-and-coming junior barristers -- Martha Costello (Maxine Peake) and Clive Reader (Rupert Penry-Jones, "Whitechapel") -- in a barristers' chambers in London, who are attempting to attain the coveted rank of Queen's (or King's) Counsel.

Co-starring are Neil Stuke as Billy Lamb, the senior clerk in the chambers, and Natalie Dormer ("The Tudors") as Clive's pupil,

Ray Winstone, Charles Dance in ITV4 prostate cancer awareness film

ITV has teamed up with Prostate Cancer UK to produce a special film as part of the network's week-long 'Stand by Your Man' campaign.

Ray Winstone, Charles Dance, Tamzin Outhwaite, John Simm and Neil Stuke all star in the 18-minute film, which aims to raise awareness of the disease.

The movie, titled Father's Day, hopes to spark discussion and encourage men to talk more openly about such illnesses and reassure them that they are not alone, reports The Red Pages.

Game of Thrones actor Dance said: "I did recognise the reluctance of the men in the film to talk about such issues, I think that's true.

"While men tend to make more of a drama than women about everyday illness, they tend not to open up as much about more difficult matters."

Father's Day airs on June 16 at 11.45pm on ITV4.

Watch a trailer for the film below:

Photo: Emma Stone Photobombs Andrew Garfield
If there's one thing we love more than seeing photos of criminally cute couple Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield, it's seeing Stone adorably photobomb her beau.

Thursday night, the pair attended the New York opening of the play "Bull," and while Garfield, 29, posed with actors Eleanor Matsuura, James Corden and Neil Stuke, Stone, 24, popped in the picture to make a silly face.

Last summer, Garfield opened up to MTV News about how their easygoing relationship began on the set of "The Amazing Spider-Man."

"We got on really well as people, in between [takes]," Garfield told MTV. "That was the fun stuff: In between, we'd just mess around, and I felt, 'Ah, this is different.' I wasn't really aware what was happening in the screen test. She keeps you on your toes, and that wakes you up. That was the beginning."
