Roseanne Barr says she is "fine" and has had "no medical issues" following online rumors that she suffered a heart attack. A man alleging to be the 66-year-old former Roseanne star's assistant "Frank" recently made the claim while calling Sputnik News radio host Lee Stranahan as he was filming a live Periscope video, spurring further speculation on social media. "I'm fine," Barr tweeted on Saturday night, alongside a photo of herself posing in a pirate wench-themed T-shirt and printed leggings. An hour later, she wrote, "I was the victim of a prank. I've had no medical issues. I'm spending time at home with my family and...

Lee Stranahan, an investigative reporter who quit Breitbart News last month in protest, has landed an unusual new gig: doing a radio show for the Russian government-backed propaganda network Sputnik. “I’m on the Russian payroll now, when you work at Sputnik you’re being paid by the Russians,” Stranahan told The Atlantic this week. “That’s what it is. I don’t have any qualms about it. Nothing about it really affects my position on stuff that I’ve had for years now.” And already, Stranahan is kicking up quite a stir — repeating Russia and Syria’s assertion that...

Tampa, Fla. -- Another documentary is drawing controversy at the Republican National Convention -- the filmmakers of Occupy Unmasked, starring the late Andrew Breitbart, say they've received dozens of threats of physical violence in advance of Thursday's screening of the critical look at the Occupy Wall Street movement. Some of the messages target Brandon Darby and Lee Stranahan, two former leftists who appear in the film, according to a spokesperson for Citizens United Prods, the company behind the film. At last year's Cpac convention, Andrew Breitbart and I had a much-publicized dustup over conservative dress-up artiste James O'Keefe (he of the undercover NPR "sting" video), concerning the racial overtones of O'Keefe's choice to wear a pimp costume in the intro to his Acorn videos. That encounter didn't go so well, but this year's Cpac offered a fresh chance to discuss the issue. During a long lunch with Breitbart, liberal filmmaker Lee Stranahan, and liberal blogger Mike Stark, I finally got an answer to my question.

Adam Lambert performed at Jingle Ball, and Q102 Philly decided to tweet that Lambert’s prominent bulge was stuffed. An angry group of Lambert fans quickly informed the station that that bulge has always been present (I remember commenting on it during American Idol). The station had enough class to apologize.
In Briefs we informed you that Ryan Reynolds was now single. So is Zac Efron, Michael C. Hall, and the guy from Nip/Tuck that isn’t Julian McMahon.
It’s weird enough that two live action Snow White films are about to be made. But perhaps stranger is that Julia Roberts might play the Evil Queen in one of them. I like Roberts, but “evil” is too much of a stretch. But I have no problem seeing Charlize Theron in the same role in the other film.

It was first reported that Kevin Smith was planning to direct the first movie he didn't write, called "A Couple Dicks" and starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan ("30 Rock"). Then Warner Bros decided to change the title to "A Couple of Cops" and make the film PG-13, rather than R, as with most Smith films. Smith sat down with Lee Stranahan to explain what's going. You can read some of the highlights or watch the entire twelve-minute interview. [via /Film] * The script is "definitely an R-Rated Film" with "salty language in it, but not a Hard R." * Warner Bros was considering making it as a PG-13 movie (which might explain the brief "A Couple of Cops" title change) but Willis, Morgan, Smith and WB head Jeff Robinov decided it would be better as an R-Rated comedy. * "It meant a lot of us had to give up a bunch of our salary to make this movie,...

Apparently when it was first reported last week that Kevin Smith was hired by Warner Brothers to direct a comedy called A Couple of Dicks, a few people were saying that he had finally sold out and decided to make something that wasn't his own for a boat load of cash. Well guess what, that's not the case, sorry to burst your bubble. Smith did an interview with Lee Stranahan on YouTube (via SlashFilm) and answered some questions about the project. "The budget of the movie is Not huge," Smith said. "It meant a lot of us had to give up a bunch of our salary to make this movie, that’s how passionate we are about the flick." Before we get any further, the project is actually called A Couple of Dicks, and not A Couple of Cops, which was what Variety reported. The plot involves two veteran Lapd...

Kevin Smith has opened up about his latest project, A Couple of Dicks. The flick stars Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan as two cops who track down a stolen baseball card, rescue a Mexican beauty and must deal with gangsters and laundered drug money. It was written by Robb and Marc Cullen, making it the first production Smith is directing that he also didn’t write. In an interview with Lee Stranahan, a fellow filmmaker and writer for The Huffington Post, Smith discusses the film’s script, the rating, target audience and the budget, among other things, in his usual candid style. You can watch the 12 minute interview below.
