Harper Steele is an American writer, actress, influencer, and transgender activist. She worked as a head writer for Saturday Night Live from 2004-2008, winning one Primetime Emmy Award from four nominations. Steele is also known for co-writing Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga with comedian Will Ferrell, whom she met at Saturday Night Live. In 2021, Steele informed Ferrell and other friends of her decision to transition genders.
