Wolfgang Staudte was born on 9 October 1906 in Saarbrücken, Germany. He was a director and actor, known for Ciske de Rat (1955), Rotation (1949) and Murderers Among Us (1946). He was previously married to Angelika Hoffmann, Rita Heidelbach, Ingmar Zeisberg and Renate Praetorius. He died on 19 January 1984 in Zigrski Vrh near Sevnica, Slovenia, Yugoslavia.
