Second Opinion – Bad Santa 2 (2016)

Bad Santa 2, 2016.

Directed by Mark Waters.

Starring Billy Bob Thornton, Brett Kelly, Tony Cox, Kathy Bates, Christina Hendricks, Ryan Hansen, Jenny Zigrino, Jeff Skowron, Cristina Rosato, Mike Starr, and Octavia Spencer.

Synopsis:

Fueled by cheap whiskey, greed and hatred, Willie teams up once again with his angry little sidekick, Marcus, to knock off a Chicago charity on Christmas Eve.

I actually had hope that Bad Santa 2 might shockingly surpass my already very low expectations during the opening, where director Mark Waters (Mean Girls) and his staff of four writers seem to be self-aware that this movie doesn’t need to exist and is pissing all over a perfect ending. This is realized by having everyone’s favorite sex-crazed, foul-mouthed Santa Willie Soke (Billy Bob Thornton returning with the assholish charm that made the original a classic) piss all over a nice family photograph of him, clueless yet adorable

How does 'Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon' play for a first-time viewer in 2015?

How does 'Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon' play for a first-time viewer in 2015?
While I'd argue I have a fairly deep knowledge of '80s films, having survived the era the first time through, it seems I somehow missed "The Last Dragon," directed by Michael Schultz. Schultz works non-stop in television these days, and I'd wager that most of the people watching his episodes of "Arrow" or "Hart of Dixie" or "Black-ish" or "Chuck" or "The Mysteries Of Laura" have no idea this is the same guy who made movies like "Car Wash," "Cooley High," "Greased Lightning," "Bustin' Loose," or "Scavenger Hunt." He was one of the few directors to work with Richard Pryor repeatedly, which automatically makes him somewhat of a superhero. It's always strange when you watch a movie for the first time removed completely from the context in which it premiered, especially one that provokes such an enthusiastic cult response from so many people when you mention it. A mere

Time Machine: Sensational Scarlett J. in Purple

Scarlett Johansson Oscar dress Scarlett Johansson at the Oscars Looking great in a long purple dress, Scarlett Johansson displays her tight-fitting costume and bare back at the 83rd Academy Awards held on Feb. 27 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. Oscar 2011 co-host and Best Actor nominee James Franco (for Danny Boyle's 127 Hours) thus introduced Johansson and fellow Oscar presenter Matthew McConaughey: "I am six degrees of Kevin Bacon away from our next two presenters. Figure it out on the Internet." Well, if you're lucky. Some have remarked that Franco was a more effective Oscar host online, where he tweeted some of the evening's to-dos, than on the stage of the Kodak Theatre. His fellow equally panned Oscarcast host was actress Anne Hathaway. Scarlett Johansson movies Scarlett Johansson has been featured in more than 40 films since her debut at age 10 in Rob Reiner's North, back in 1994. Johansson, in fact,

Broadchurch Set For Global Hit After Rave Reviews In Us

Broadchurch Set For Global Hit After Rave Reviews In Us
'Broadchurch', which wowed UK audiences when it was shown earlier in the year, is set to have the same effect on overseas viewers.

Any fears that the seaside drama would be too 'British' for other audiences have been dispelled with its initial reception by Us critics.

The Sun reports two influential Stateside newspapers waxing lyrical over the eight-part whodunnit, which premiered on the BBC America channel this week.

Olivia Colman and David Tennant are set to enjoy some Stateside success with 'Broadchurch'

New York Post's Michael Starr said, "There's something about the tone of these shows - the acting, cinematography and even the music, that just feels right... the acting here is first-rate."

And The Hollywood Reporter's Tim Goodman wrote, "Broadchurch is a textbook example of excellent writing, well-developed and complicated characters, superb acting, a perfect sense of place and, perhaps most important, just the right number of hours.

Dr. Drew 'Tired of' Blame for Celeb Rehab Deaths

by CBS News

Dr. Drew Pinsky is checking out of Celebrity Rehab for good.

In a recent radio interview, Pinsky said that he has no plans to air another season of VH1's Celebrity Rehab because he's "tired of taking all the heat" following the deaths of five former cast members.

"It's very stressful and very intense for me," Pinsky said in an on-air interview with Zach Sang and the Gang. "To have people questioning my motives and taking aim at me because people get sick and die because they have a life-threatening disease, and I take the blame? Rodney King has a heart attack and I take blame for that?"

He added: "I don't have plans to do that again. I'm tired of taking all the heat. It's just ridiculous."

In February, country singer Mindy McCready -- who appeared in the 2009 season of Celebrity Rehab -- committed suicide after a long battle with substance abuse and other

We examine the type of mindset that would make someone want to do made-for-tv rehab and what effect, if any, the cameras have on the whole situation. Also on the show, we discussed the first official appearance of Kate Middleton's (barely-there) baby bump! And in other royal news, Pippa Middleton reportedly has a new...
