Beetlejuice 2 Gets Writers Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg
The 1988 classic comedy Beetlejuice may finally get a sequel after all these years, with Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg signing on to write Beetlejuice 2.

Both Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg signed an overall deal with Warner Bros., and it is believed the Beetlejuice sequel will be their first project under the pact. It is said this will not be a remake, but will advance the story line of the original Beetlejuice, which was directed by Tim Burton. The writers' deal sprung from the work that Seth Grahame-Smith performed on Tim Burton's Dark Shadows, which is currently in production.

It isn't known whether Tim Burton or star Michael Keaton will be involved in the Beetlejuice sequel at this time. Last year we reported that another Beetlejuice cast member, Geena Davis, expressed interest in returning for a sequel.

Geena Davis Is Up for a Beetlejuice Sequel

Geena Davis wants more Beetlejuice According to Moviehole, Geena Davis is interested in a Beetlejuice sequel. She talked about this in a recent interview.

In that film, the actress played one-half of a deceased married couple. Alec Baldwin played her husband.

"It's funny, [another journalist] just asked me about a sequel to Beetlejuice - which, though I haven't heard anything about it, might be interesting", Davis stated. "I would do that!".

She then pondered where the characters might go in another film.

"Thing is, do ghosts age?", asks Davis. "Wouldn't we be stuck in the age we were? Alec [Baldwin] and I would have to look as we did then - who knows, maybe we could? I better get in touch with Tim Burton".

There have been a couple of rumblings about a proposed sequel. At one point it is said that there was a script titled "Beetlejuice goes Hawaiian," that was written
