Supernatural: Mary Winchester Has Become ‘Apocalypse Mom’ To Jack

It has been a minute since Supernatural has spent any time with Jack (Alexander Calvert) or Mary Winchester (Samantha Smith), but now that the series is gearing up for the end of season 13, the two are set to feature prominently in the episodes to come. While the Winchesters were off being saved by the Wayward Sisters or crossing over with the Scooby gang, Mary and Jack have been leading a revolution in what Calvert likes to call “Apocalypse World,” and he says their time spent in one another’s company has helped the son of Lucifer find a “greater purpose.”

‘Supernatural’: Jared Padalecki on the Powerful ‘Luke Skywalker’ and How the Brothers Would React to Castiel’s Return

‘Supernatural’: Jared Padalecki on the Powerful ‘Luke Skywalker’ and How the Brothers Would React to Castiel’s Return
[Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers from the Season 13 premiere, titled “Lost and Found.”]

For “Supernatural,” 13 is a lucky number considering The CW series has lasted this long. After watching the premiere of the 13th season, its new, more poignant approach to the Winchesters’ story could be exactly what the show needs to keep on going for another 13 more years.

The premiere picks up with Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) still reeling from the loss of so many: their mother Mary (Samantha Smith) whom Lucifer (Pellegrino) took care of, Castiel (Misha Collins), and Crowley (Mark Sheppard). Even for a show with a high body count, those deaths have to sting and make a difference to our heroes. And they do. Despite what viewers know – that Castiel will be back in some form, and that Mary is in the alternate world with Lucifer – there’s a mournful yet resigned tone to the episode. This is the reality when you hunt monsters, and maybe too,

Supernatural: CW Showrunner Teases Season 13 Villain

Supernatural: CW Showrunner Teases Season 13 Villain
TV Line reports Supernatural co-showrunner, Andrew Dabb is teasing the "big bad" for the drama's 13th season on The CW -- and it's not Lucifer's son, Jack. According to the report, Dabb said, "It’s an old — let’s call him friend — who we have not seen for many years." Reporter Vlada Gelman floated her own theory about who it may be. Check out some unspoiled speculation, after the jump. The season 12 Supernatural finale, "All Along the Watchtower," was a deadly one, with Crowley (Mark Sheppard) finally stepping up and sacrificing himself, and Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino) killing Castiel (Misha Collins) -- at least temporarily. Sam and Dean (Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles) also had to watch as Lucifer shoved Mary Winchester (Samantha Smith) into the rift that leads to a post-apocalyptic world, in which Sam

“There’s Something About Mary” In This Supernatural Extended Promo

Had you witnessed last night’s episode of Supernatural, you saw the Winchester-British Men of Letters alliance finally start to implode, something we’ve been waiting to see for some time now. But, with the season finale less than two weeks away, it’s expected that major developments occur.

With that, it doesn’t come as too much of a surprise that the trailers become increasingly more vague, even when they’re of the extended variety like the one embedded at the top of this article. That aside, it’ll be interesting to watch Mary Winchester finally get her hands on Toni Bevell, whom she still owes payback for brutally torturing her son,
