Cast: Ray Wise (Frank Harrington), Lin Shaye (Laura Harrington), Mick Cain (Richard Harrington), Alexandra Holden (Marion Harrington), Billy Asher Rosenfeld (Brad Miller), Amber Smith (Lady in White), Steve Valentine (Man in Black)

I’m always amazed at how long a film will stay stagnate on my Netflix list. This one sat on it for I’m thinking around six months or so. What’s even more amazing are the pre conceived notions about the film that I get from the synopsis and the cover art. I’m usually more surprised than anything else, and that can be good or bad. I’m an optimist for the most part, and am almost always glad that I went ahead and took care of business and watched it. With the directors’ names, I

Josh Wolk's Pop Culture Club talks 'Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew': Silly, then powerful, then back again

Welcome back to the Pop Culture Club, where this week we visited one of my pet obsessions, Dr. Drew's latest “D-listers get the D.T.'s” series: Sex Rehab. I have been down this road with Dr. D for two Celebrity Rehabs and a Sober House, and — to use the most common pun possible for this show — I'm addicted. The dilemma I always face in watching his shows is that I can never decide whether it's exploitative or not. Do you remember, from when you were kids, the "That's good/that's bad" story? Someone would tell a long shaggy dog

'Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew' premiere: Sure, why not make a bunch of sex addicts live together?

Here's the problem with these rehab-on-tv shows: They are showing rehab. On TV. Um, most sobriety programs have "anonymous" in their names for a reason. Because anonymity is a key aspect of getting over addictions, which means television might make the process a bit tougher. VH1's Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew becomes the latest semi-serious attempt to depict the process of overcoming addiction. And with its Sunday premiere, the series, like Celebrity Rehab before it, achieved the same odd combination of attacking important issues and allowing a salacious look at people who seem far worse off than most of us.

A-busey

Off-the-wall actor Gary Busey turned out to be more of a troublemaker than a mentor for the stars who checked themselves into VH1's "Celebrity Rehab 2" last month.

Busey, who claims 13 years of sobriety, joined the "CR2" cast to help the stars through the recovery process.

But after he was given a room at the Pasadena substance abuse facility where the show is taped, he frequently clashed with his co- stars during group therapy, a "Rehab" staffer who witnessed much of Busey's be havior told The Post.

At some point during the 21-day program, Busey's altercations with the rest

Busey Serves As Camp Counsellor For Celebrity Rehab Show
Gary Busey, rocker Steven Adler and 1980s pin-up Tawny Kitaen will join Grease star Jeff Conaway for the second season of hardhitting U.S. reality show Celebrity Rehab.

Conaway, who quit the show's first season days before his treatment was complete, revealed he was returning to the show to kick his dependency of painkillers on the red carpet at the TV Land Awards at the weekend.

Busey and the others seeking the help of TV psychologist Dr. Drew Pinsky checked into the televised rehab on Monday.

Busey, who claims 13 years of sobriety, is not among the troubled souls on the show - the actor has been hired to help the group members through the recovery process.

Joining Conaway, Adler and Kitaen on the show are model Amber Smith, Rod Stewart's son Sean and Rodney King, whose televised police beating in 1992 sparked the Los Angeles riots.

The intense 21-day program will be filmed and aired on VH1 in October.

The first season of Celebrity Rehab featured Conaway, Daniel Baldwin, Brigitte Nielsen and wrestler Chyna.
