Brad Silberling was born on September 8, 1963 in Washington, District of Columbia, USA as Bradley Mitchell Silberling. He is a producer and director, known for City of Angels (1998), Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004) and Moonlight Mile (2002). He has been married to Amy Brenneman since September 30, 1995. They have two children.

Wrote and directed the 2002 film Moonlight Mile (2002) based on his own experiences after the tragic murder of his girlfriend, actress Rebecca Schaeffer, in 1989.
Has two children with wife Amy Brenneman. Daughter, Charlotte Tucker (born March 20, 2001) and son Bodhi Russell (born 8 June 2005).
Met wife Amy Brenneman on the set of Casper (1995).
Was approached by Warner Bros. as one of the candidates to direct Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 1998. Although he began to enthusiastically plan the film in his mind and was ready to sign on to direct it, Chris Columbus was ultimately chosen as the director.
