Thirty-five years down the line from the release of the 1988 cult classic Killer Klowns from Outer Space (watch it Here), fans of the film have access to a whole lot of tie-in merchandise, have made their way through Killer Klowns-themed mazes at Halloween Horror Nights events, and have a video game to look forward to… but we still haven’t seen the sequel the film’s creators have been anxious to make for decades. Now, speaking with SFX magazine, Killer Klowns from Outer Space director Stephen Chiodo has revealed that he’s hoping to bring the sequel idea to life as an eight episode mini-series!
Chiodo told SFX (with thanks to Coming Soon for sharing the text), “My goal is to do an eight-part miniseries for streamers. We’ve got a great concept that continues the story of our main characters. We’ll follow a new group of teenagers...

Tyler-James has been involved with several projects that have caught our attention in recent months. The filmmaker has produced the films that turn the popular nursery rhymes Mary Had a Little Lamb and Three Blind Mice into horror stories, and directed The Loch Ness Horror. Now a trailer for a new Tyler-James project has arrived online. This one is a creature feature called Monsternado, and you can check out the trailer in the embed above!
Uncork’d Entertainment will be giving Monsternado a digital and DVD release on November 14th.
Tyler-James directed the film from a screenplay by Derek Miller, who previously wrote episodes of Dads in Parks and It’s Pony. This one has the following synopsis: A tornado, infested with prehistoric monsters, has formed in the Bermuda Triangle, and is making its way towards land. Megalodon, Pterodactyls, Giant Octopuses, Crocodiles, and more attack – now the city must fight to survive against these deadly creatures.

What if a tornado brought in all the creatures from hell?! There's only one way to find out... Monsternado, which fills a tornado with All of the scariest creatures, will sweep onto digital platforms this November from Uncork’d Entertainment. "Another fantastic film from Tyler-James, whose The Loch Ness Monster also releases in November, Monsternado is fun, frightening and brimming with some very cool special effects sequences," they claim. It seems crazy to me that Spirit Halloween stores are apparently having great success selling merchandise related to the 1988 cult classic Killer Klowns from Outer Space (watch it Here), and yet we still haven’t heard that the long-awaited sequel has been given a greenlight. John Massari, who composed the score for the 1988 cult classic horror comedy Killer Klowns from Outer Space (watch it Here), has returned to create the music for the upcoming Killer Klowns from Outer Space video game, which will be released for PC, Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series, and Xbox One sometime in 2023. While we wait for a specific release date to be announced, the main theme Massari has composed for the video game, a track called “The Darkkest Karnival” has been released online, and you can listen to it in the embed at the bottom of this article. Our friends at Bloody Disgusting were told, “This blood-pumping track pays homage to the original ‘Klown March’ recorded in 1987, while also adding darker, unexpected modern twists to its structure.”

Back in 1988, the Chiodo Brothers brought us the cult classic horror comedy Killer Klowns from Outer Space (watch it Here) – and pretty much ever since, they have been hoping to get the chance to make a sequel to the film. There’s still no word on a Killer Klowns 2, but sometime in 2023 there will be a Killer Klowns from Outer Space video game released for PC, Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series, and Xbox One… and during a conversation with ComicBook.com, the Chiodos revealed that some of the ideas they had for a sequel have been worked into the game.
Edward Chiodo told the site, “The game is being developed by Teravision with us acting as executive producers and creative advisers. A trailer for the game can be seen in the embed above, and now the folks at IGN have shared a video that shows how closely the video game resembles the movie it’s based on. That video can be viewed at the bottom of this article.
When the announcement was made, it was said that the video game maps would be “inventive, but faithful recreations of iconic locations from the Killer Klowns from Outer Space movie.” The video below does a great job of showing just how faithful these location recreations are.
The Killer Klowns from Outer Space video game is a multiplayer, asymmetrical (3 vs 7) horror game that pits three Klowns against seven Humans.

The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art announced on Tuesday that the institution, which is now under construction in Los Angeles’s Exposition Park, will open in 2025.
In 2017, Los Angeles won the location sweepstakes over San Francisco for George Lucas’ one-of-a-kind museum, which will house art from films including Lucas’ own “Star Wars,” as well as photography, Renaissance paintings, and ancient Roman mosaics. When construction began in 2018, it was expected to open in 2022, then was delayed to 2023.
Sandra Jackson-Dumont, director and CEO of the museum, shared the “significant progress” already made on the five-story, 300,000-square-foot building, which will be surrounded by a park and gardens on its 11-acre campus.

The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art said Tuesday that its five-story, 300,000-square foot building and 11-acre campus in Los Angeles’ Exposition Park is now aiming at opening in 2025.
It’s the latest timeline shift for the museum, which first broke ground in March 2018 for a planned 2021 open. Construction and other delays owing to the Covid pandemic forced it in April of last year to move its opening to 2023.
Co-founded by George Lucas and Mellody Hobson to showcase narrative art via a collection of paintings, illustrations, comic art, photography, film, animation and digital art, the Lucas Museum was designed by Ma Yansong of Mad Architects with Michael Siegel of Stantec as executive architect. Sandra Jackson-Dumont, the museum’s director and CEO, said today that installation has now begun on the more than 1,500 curved fiberglass-reinforced polymer panels to shape the building’s organic, biomorphic surface.

Jennifer Aniston and Dennis Quaid are in talks to join the cast of "The Switch" reports Deadline.
Based on the Elmore Leonard novel, the story follows two ex-cons (John C. Hawkes and Yasiin Bey) who kidnap and ransom the wife (Aniston) of a crooked real estate developer (Quaid).
Said husband refuses to pay the ransom as he sees it as an opportunity to get rid of his wife. The kidnappers then team up with her to get all of her husband’s money.
The ex-con characters are the younger versions of those played by Robert De Niro and Samuel L. Jackson in Quentin Tarantino's "Jackie Brown". Despite involving the same characters, this isn't a 'Jackie' prequel.
Dan Schechter directs from a script he adapted. Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Lee Stollman, Michael Siegel and Leonard are producing.

"Winter's Bone" and "Deadwood" star John Hawkes will star opposite Yasiin Bey (aka. Mos Def) in an adaptation of Elmore Leonard's 1978 crime novel "Switch" reports Variety.
Dan Schechter ("Supporting Characters") is adapting the script and will direct. "Switch" is a prequel to Leonard's "Rum Punch" which was adapted into Quentin Tarantino's 1997 feature "Jackie Brown".
Hawkes and Bey play the younger versions of Louis Gara and Ordell Robbie, the characters Robert De Niro and Samuel L. Jackson played in 'Jackie'.
The story takes a slightly different approach to the same premise as acclaimed 1986 comedy "Ruthless People". In this, Ordell and Louis team to kidnap Mickey Dawson, the wife of a corrupt Detroit real estate developer.
When the husband refuses to pay the ransom for his wife's return, the ex-cons are forced to reconceive their plan, and the angry housewife uses the duo to get her revenge.

Chris Pine, Hugh Jackman, Jude Law, Alec Baldwin and Isla Fisher will all lend their voices to the lead roles in DreamWorks Animation's 3D epic "Rise of the Guardians" reports Variety
No, this is not some sequel to that damn owl movie. Rather it is an adaptation of William Joyce's upcoming children's novel series "The Guardians of Childhood" which follows a group of heroic childhood legends, each with extraordinary abilities.
When Pitch (Law), an evil spirit akin to the boogeyman, lays down the gauntlet to take over the world, the immortal Guardians must join forces for the first time to protect the hopes, beliefs and imagination of children all over the world.
Pine will play Jack Frost, Jackman is Bunnymund (the Easter Bunny), Baldwin is North (Santa Claus) and Fisher is Tooth (the Tooth Fairy). Pine replaces Leonardo DiCaprio who was previously attached to that role.
Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire adapted the screenplay.

Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt are bringing a new version of Roald Dahl's classic novel Charlie And The Chocolate Factory to movie screens. The Hollywood couple will serve as producers of the Warner Bros. film through their company Plan B - the newly formed partnership of Aniston, Pitt, Brad Grey and Michael Siegel, who manages the interests of the Dahl estate. Meanwhile, Planet Of The Apes director Tim Burton is in talks to helm the production. Although the film-maker has yet to sign a deal, the Dahl estate has already approved Burton as the director they wanted most. In the next few days, he will meet with the family in London, where he's putting the finishing touches to the movie Big Fish. Signing Burton will cap a long campaign to get the film under way with the blessing of the Dahl estate, which was reluctant to make a deal because the author didn't like the first screen adaptation - 1971's Gene Wilder flick Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory.

The project was set up at U.K. indie production company FilmFour in February 2002, with Cheadle attached to direct. But when the company dissolved five months later, the rights reverted back to the author. Now Section Eight has stepped in, and casting is under way. No domestic distributor is on board.
