After receiving a B.A. in English Literature from the University of California, Los Angeles Mr. Shiban earned his M.F.A. in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute. While at AFI, Shiban was chosen as the institute's candidate for the Paramount Fellowship and was also honored with the Mary Pickford Scholarship for writing.
