Cinematographer, who did some of his best work before the advent of sound pictures. Known particularly for Don Q Son of Zorro (1925), with Douglas Fairbanks. At MGM from 1926 to 1930. Long stint at Paramount, 1932-1940; then at Warner Brothers 1942-1944. Less active in the 1950's.
