Ben Selkow is an award-winning non-fiction film and television director, executive producer, and showrunner whose work has been exhibited on Netflix, HBO, CNN, Sundance TV, Discovery, Participant Media, PBS/America ReFramed, Esquire Network, and at film festivals such as SXSW, Tribeca, Hot Docs and DOC NYC. Most recently, he was the executive producer and a director on Netflix's new 8-part hip hop docu-series entitled "Rapture." Ben has directed and produced international docu-series with Anthony Bourdain, Reza Aslan, Mos Def aka Yasiin Bey, Nat Faxon/Jim Rash, and Zachary Levi. Ben has collaborated with Emmy Award-winning executive producers and creators Marc Levin, Jeff Grogan, and Danny Forster. His documentary film work covers a wide variety of global topics from social justice issues such as mental health disorders, women's maternal health to the connection between environmental destruction and mass conflict. Ben has produced and directed all over the world including: Vietnam, Japan, Morocco, Zambia, Haiti, India, Israel, Dominican Republic, Korea, France, Czech Republic, Chile, Mexico, and all over the United States.
