Derek Scott was born on December 21, 1921 in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, England. He is known for his work on The Engelbert Humperdinck Show (1969), Spyder's Web (1972) and The Punch and Judy Man (1963). He was married to Sidi Scott. He died on May 27, 2006 in Southwold, Suffolk, England.

Trivia (4)

Served in the Royal Air Force during WWII and entertainment troops in musical shows.
Formed a comedy duo on stage and TV with Tony Hancock in 1948 calling themselves "Hank and Scott." The broke up when Hancock was given his own TV show. Scott later wrote the theme music for Hancock's series.
Composed several songs for "The Muppet Show".
Retired in 1982 and became a musical director and organist at St. Edmund's Church in Suffolk.
