The road to getting another Terminator movie made has gotten as complicated as traversing Skynet's main frame. The main culprit behind the various hardships has been a rights dispute that has thankfully drawn to a close.
Deadline reports that nearly 18 months after Megan Ellison pledged over $20 million for the rights to finish The Terminator‘s humanity vs the Skynet cyborgs storyline with a new series of films, she has finally closed the complicated rights deal with Pacificorp. Other than the fact no progress has been made all this time on a script, the surprise here is Ellison has enlisted her brother, David Ellison, to be her financial and creative partner. There is still no studio attached, but future Terminator films will be done as a co-production between her Annapurna Pictures and his Skydance Productions. The Ellisons will produce, while Dana Goldberg, Paul Schwake and Ted Schipper will be exec producers.

Things have been relatively quite with regard to another Terminator film ever since Megan Ellison and her Annapurna Productions won the rights to the franchise in an auction earlier this year . Today, however, a new film gains some forward momentum as Deadline reports that Ellison has brought in her brother, David Ellison, and his Skydance Films to help develop the property. Skydance Films, known for their partnership with Paramount Pictures, have been involved with projects like Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and the upcoming Jack Reacher , Star Trek Into Darkness and G.I. Joe: Retaliation . At this stage, a new Terminator film is without a writer or director but, in addition to both Ellisons producing, Dana Goldber, Ted Schipper and Paul Schwake are attached...

We already had a chance to hear some pretty cool rumors about David O. Russell‘s (still) untitled drama (previously known as American Bullshit), but now I’m not quite sure what to think about the whole thing. First of all, it looks that some seriously good cast is on board for the whole thing – Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner are already attached to star in it. Аnd second – all of the sudden we have Christian Bale involved. As the lead!
Still sounds awesome, not to mention that this team already had a lot of success with The Fighter. In case you forgot – Russell previously directed Bale and Adams in that one. This time, we have a bit different story, which centers on Bale’s character – a financial con artist.

Joel Edgerton’s name has long been linked to the untitled Osama Bin Laden pic from Kathryn Bigelow and Mark Boal, and now the Warrior thesp has officially signed on to star.
Reports had Edgerton in the project as early as May, but insiders said at the time that he was merely the unofficial top choice, as the script was unfinished. By the time a script was done and casting began in October, it looked like Edgerton’s schedule would clash with shooting; he’d been mulling an offer to star in the “300″ prequel. But Edgerton passed on the Warner Bros.’ project, freeing him up to join the Bin Laden pic cast that already includes Jason Clarke.
Sony is distributing with Bigelow attached to direct from Boal’s script. Megan Ellison’s Annapurna Pictures will finance.
Story revolves around the Navy Seal team that tracked and eventually killed Osama Bin Laden.

The brilliant Amy Adams has signed on to star in Paul Thomas Anderson’s highly anticipated, as-yet-untitled upcoming film, Deadline reports.
The film is set to start production later this month, and with Philip Seymour Hoffman and Joaquin Phoenix already attached as the male lead and supporting, respectively, it’s definitely shaping up to be yet another classic from Anderson.
After a bit of a teaser image for the film came late last month, which was essentially just to show that the project is finally moving towards production after long delays, Adams’ casting makes all the more concrete. Fans of Anderson’s have long been awaiting this film, originally titled The Master and now without a name, so it’s great news to see that it’s finally finding its feet.

Amy Adams is set to star in Paul Thomas Anderson’s upcoming film about Scientology. Well, not actually Scientology, but something eerily similar.
Adams – who was Oscar-nominated this year for her role in The Fighter – has officially signed on to play the wife of Philip Seymour Hoffman’s character, a Navy veteran who begins a religion in the 1950s. Hoffman’s character bears uncanny resemblance to Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
Joaquin Phoenix is slated to play one of Hoffman’s disenchanted disciples, while other roles are said to be going to Lena Endre and David Lynch favourite Laura Dern.
Paul Thomas Anderson, the Oscar-nominated writer and director behind Magnolia, Boogie Nights and There Will Be Blood, had been writing the script under the working title of The Master. The film is however currently without a title.
The Weinstein Company acquired the worldwide distribution rights to the film in May,...

Exclusive: Amy Adams has formally been set to star in Paul Thomas Anderson's untitled film, which begins production later this month. She will play the wife of the character played by Philip Seymour Hoffman. He plays a man who returns from witnessing the horrors of WWII, and in an attempt to find himself, he forms a belief system that catches on in the 1950s. Deadline revealed in early May that Adams was being courted. Joaquin Phoenix has also been set to play the faith leader's right-hand man, and I've heard there have been conversations with The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo's Lena Endre and Laura Dern for other roles. The Weinstein Company acquired worldwide distribution rights to the film last month just before the Cannes Film Festival. Megan Ellison is producing through her Annapurna Productions banner, along with JoAnne Sellar and Daniel Lupi, with Ted Schipper exec producing.

Two famous vampire ladies, Nikki Reed and Deborah Ann Woll have been cast together for an upcoming indie drama Catch .44.
Like we previously said, this project could be Aaron Harvey’s directorial debut, but the greatest cast is involved in the whole thing, since we already know Forest Whitaker, Bruce Willis and Malin Akerman have all signed on to star in it as well.
The film is about “three women that get caught up in a unique situation where they deal with a crazy hitman, a trucker and a delusional cook.”
Malin Akerman will be the lead female, Whitaker will be the hitman and Willis will play the crime boss that set everything in motion.
Kate Mara was previously reported as being in talks to star, but her manager has confirmed that she is no longer involved with the project.
