When Full House legend Bob Saget’s death was revealed in 2022, the world was in shock. TV fans across the country mourned the loss of the Tanner Patriarch.
But, imagine how hard the news of Bob Saget’s unexpected death hit his friends and family. Lori Loughlin recently opened up about how she learned of her co-star’s passing, and the details were heartbreaking.
The former When Calls The Heart actress joined Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber this month on the How Rude Tanneritos podcast.
It wasn’t long before the conversation turned to Bob Saget and his passing. In early 2022 the actor was found dead in his hotel room.
His death was determined to be the result of blunt force trauma to his head, apparently he had taken a fall while he was alone. Despite a lot of conspiracy theories, the actor’s death is believed to have been an accident.

Blogger Kelly Rizzo, the widow of beloved actor Bob Saget, has addressed the criticism she faced for her new relationship after Saget’s death.
After a slew of ugly comments that condemned Rizzo’s new romance, Rizzo, who was married to Saget from 2018 until he died in 2022, took to TikTok to defend herself against those who claimed she moved on too quickly.
In a poignant video shared to TikTok, Rizzo responded to critics, “Unless you are a widow or a widower, you truly have absolutely no place and no right to comment on this because you do not know what it’s like… You just don’t understand the incredibly complex and difficult and dynamic thoughts and feelings that come up during this entire process… you feel guilty and ashamed even thinking about starting to date again, but yet you also feel lonely, and so you want to do it.

Do you remember the show "Raising Dad"? The 2001-2002 single-season series from The WB grabbed my attention because it was another show starring "Full House" star Bob Saget, but would also serve as the gateway to two actors who would become all-time favorites of mine: Kat Dennings and Brie Larson. When it was announced that the latter was going to appear in "Fast X," I couldn't resist bringing up her history of playing a hot rodder in the Disney Channel Original Movie "Right on Track," and I'm always elated when people realize that Larson is one of the members of the Six Chicks clique in "13 Going on 30" and one of the popular girls in "Sleepover."

On Oct. 28, TMZ was first to report Matthew Perry’s drowning death. The media outlet, which over the past two decades has become a byword for hard-edged celebrity coverage, cited law enforcement sources and ran a redacted audio clip it’d obtained of a dispatcher communicating with emergency personnel before running photos of the actor’s stricken parents arriving at his home.
The site has been renowned and reviled for such lightning scoops. Its casualties include Todd Fisher, who has uniquely experienced its force as a merciless reaper. TMZ broke the news of the death of his sister Carrie. Then, the next day, it was first to report that his mother, Debbie Reynolds, had been transported from his home, where she’d been discussing funeral plans for Carrie, to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center because of a possible stroke. (TMZ had audio of the dispatch call.) She soon died there. “They have...

Who’s the boss? That title goes to Tony Danza, of course. And even John Stamos gives him credit, despite Danza sleeping with his then-girlfriend Teri Copley…
In his upcoming memoir If You Would Have Told Me (out now – buy it here), John Stamos writes that he grew suspicious of Copley cheating on him, even visiting her house one night to check on it, spotting an unfamiliar 1957 Porsche in the driveway. “The blinds are closed, but the door is slightly open…I take a peek inside and see four feet protruding from the shabby-chic, floral-print duvet that once kept me warm. My Tiny Dancer is in bed with Mr. Porsche Speedster. They are sleeping. I can’t tell who he is, but I recognize Teri’s ass barely covered by the sheets…Do I pull him out of the bed by his hair, kick him in the nuts, and beat his ass?...

While writing his upcoming memoir, John Stamos resurfaced a traumatic memory that he had previously suppressed. The novel, titled If You Would Have Told Me and set for release on Oct. 24, reveals that the actor had experienced sexual abuse as a child. Stamos said it was in the process of writing the book that he came to fully understand the encounter allegedly perpetrated by his childhood babysitter.
“I mean, I knew, it was always in the back, and I do so much advocacy for the [survivors],” Stamos told People in a recent interview about the memoir.

Just moments before Kelly Rizzo voluntarily withdrew from “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” after a particularly brutal challenge, the directing staff (DS) told the blogger that her late husband, Bob Saget, would have been proud of her for persevering through her pain.
“I remember DS Q… was chirping in my ear a lot, and he did say, ‘your husband’s looking down on you — he’s proud of you,'” Rizzo told TheWrap of her final moments on the Fox reality series. “It made me happy in a sense, but then part of me was like, ‘Oh, don’t do this to me right now.'”
While Rizzo recalled thinking of Saget gave her “a little extra push at the end” despite her discomfort, she thinks her late husband would have ultimately supported her early exit from the intensive eight-day experience.

It was announced today that Hulu has canceled How I Met Your Father after two seasons, which means that fans may never get to know the answer to the question posed by the title.
Set in the near future in 2050, How I Met Your Father follows Sophie (Kim Cattrall) telling her son the story of how she met his father back in the year 2022, when Sophie (Hilary Duff) and her close-knit group of friends – Jesse (Chris Lowell), Valentina (Francia Raisa), Charlie (Tom Ainsley), Ellen (Tien Tran) and Sid (Suraj Sharma) — were figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.
Although How I Met Your Father largely stood alone from I Met Your Mother, it did feature a few appearances from the stars of the original series, including Cobie Smulders as Robin and Neil Patrick Harris as Barney.

Hulu is dropping another one of its series, canceling How I Met Your Father after two seasons.
The news comes two days after the Disney-run streamer canceled The Great. How I Met Your Father, which stars Hilary Duff, ended its second season in July and did not answer the implied question in its title.
How I Met Your Father is a spinoff of How I Met Your Mother, which ran on CBS from 2005-14. Though not a direct sequel, it’s set in the same version of New York as the original series and has featured guest appearances from Himym stars Cobie Smulders and Neil Patrick Harris, among other alumni of that show. Characters played by Christopher Lowell and Suraj Sharma also live in the apartment occupied by Ted (Josh Radnor) and Marshall (Jason Segel) in the former series.

Full House fans will always remember the extended Tanner family as happy, wholesome, and a bit unconventional. The sitcom made audiences laugh but also addressed more serious issues like the death of a parent, teen drinking, eating disorders, and abuse. Each of the main characters brought something special to the screen, and they became a real family. They weren’t all so happy in the beginning, however — John Stamos nearly quit because he hated it so much.
John Stamos was not happy during the early days of ‘Full House’
On a recent episode of Hot Ones, Stamos revealed that he wanted to quit Full House at one point. The actor was under the impression that the sitcom was going to be more like Bosom Buddies, focusing on the antics and relationships of the adults. He thought that the children were just going to be in the background of the story.

A new iteration of the Full House series was a brewing possibility when actor Bob Saget suddenly died in 2022. Jodie Sweetin, who played Stephanie Tanner, said despite the loss, the cast could reunite someday in some capacity.
“I don’t know that we’re done with the Full / Fuller legacy,” Sweetin said on the Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast.
“But I do think it’s going to have to be some time from now after Bob,” she said. “I think that would be a big loss. I think, obviously it’s something that would, could be dealt with at some point.”
“But I do think that definitely is a big hole in all of our hearts right now, so we’ll see,” she added. “We always joke that we’re up for a Golden Girls-type version of Kimmy and Steph and DJ living somewhere in Miami wearing Mumus on the Lanai.

John Stamos may have toured with The Beach Boys, had a terrific stint on ER and made a deal with the devil to look that good on the brink of 60, but he will always be Uncle Jesse to us. But as it turns out, John Stamos didn’t enjoy certain aspects of Full House, admitting that early on he did not have mercy on his co-stars – Michelle, Stephanie and D.J., that is.
On a recent episode of First We Feast’s Hot Ones, John Stamos remembered being heated when his younger Full House co-stars were getting the bulk of the attention. “I hated that show,” he said, before admitting, “Obviously, I ended up loving it.” The center of his problems came in the form of Jodie Sweetin, who played Stephanie Tanner. “[She] reads her lines [at a table read], and people are dying laughing, I mean screaming. I was like, ‘What’s happening here?...

Sweet Magnolias so far is having a good run, with the third season out for fans of the three independent women living in Serenity, South Carolina, and how the town has shaped their personalities. The core theme of this romantic drama is the inherent goodness of not just the lead female protagonists but also the supporting characters. The writers of the show went out of their way to portray the whole town as a virtuous place, whose residents immediately come to help those in need. It made us wonder how the readers could explore more shows in the same genre, older and new ones, to understand the nuances of each show. A comparative article such as this will help the readers pick how most of them are either similar or different from Sweet Magnolias. Here’s a list:

John Stamos is best known for portraying Uncle Jesse in the ABC sitcom Full House. Although Stamos loves the recognition he gets from the show, it wasn’t always like that.
The actor recently opened up about how he initially “hated” the comedy after he realized the show was more family-oriented and not like Bosom Buddies as it was originally pitched.

“Full House” creator Jeff Franklin is going down memory lane on Dave Coulier‘s new series, “Full House Rewind”. Franklin appeared on the first episode of the PodCo series, where he and Coulier reminisced about the pilot episode of the popular family comedy, which starred the late Bob Saget, John Stamos, Coulier, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen.
During the episode, which Coulier dedicated to Saget, Franklin revealed Sweetin was the first actor cast on “Full House”. He shared that after they held the first cast table read, Stamos was ready to get off the show because he was concerned Sweetin and the younger actors would take the spotlight.
“I remembered our first table read,” Coulier said.
“Where there’s a room full of studio and network executives. They were all there to see Stamos, I think,” Franklin recalled.
“Jodie just stole the show,” Coulier remembered.

Jeff Franklin, the creator of Full House, is looking back at how the show began and recalled a moment when John Stamos almost backed out of the series.
The writer-producer-director appeared on the first episode of Dave Coulier’s new podcast, Full House Rewind, which they dedicated to the late Bob Saget.
While talking about the show’s first table read with the actors, Franklin noted that there was a “room full of studio and network executives and everybody who could possibly be there. They were all there to see Stamos, I think.”
But Franklin recalled that “Jodie [Sweetin] just stole the whole thing” with her humor, which he said left Stamos upset because he was afraid the younger stars were going to steal the spotlight.
Coulier chimed in and said he remembers “walking out with John” afterward when the Scream Queens actor told him, “The whole show’s gonna be her.

John Stamos faced the intensity of Da Bomb Beyond Insanity sauce on “Hot Ones” hosted by Sean Evans, and the “Full House” alum joked that the sauce killed his late costar Bob Saget.
“This is what killed Saget,” Stamos joked after struggling through the eighth sauce in the gauntlet. “He would do that joke if he was alive to me. He wouldn’t have waited a year and a half either. He would say the worst things.”
Saget died January 2022 of severe blunt head trauma from a fall in a Florida hotel room, though the exact circumstances of his death were never fully made public after his family won the right to keep autopsy details under seal.
Stamos recalled several memories with his “Full House” costar, including a trip to a strip club with the trio of guys — including Dave Coulier, who played Joey — where they were announced immediately upon entering the establishment.

Bob Saget’s tragic death in January 2022 was a key to healing a rift between John Stamos and the Olsen Twins.
The sequel to ’80s sitcom classic Full House was the Netflix series Fuller House, which ran for five seasons. The series featured all of Full House‘s original main characters except for the Olsens, who split the role in the earlier series.
Kevin McHale and Jenna Ushkowitz‘s And That’s What You Really Missed podcast saw Stamos reveal that he was angry initially at the perceived snub by the twins. He said he heard “rumors” that the twins hated being on the original show and felt it marred their childhood.
“When I did Fuller House, they didn’t want to come back and I was angry for a minute and that got out,” Stamos said.
But the Olsens and Stamos reconnected at Saget’s funeral, where the twins dispelled the rumors.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen joined the cast of Full House when they were less than a year old, but the twins’ behaviour led to star John Stamos demanding they be fired. That’s a little harsh there, Stamos.
While speaking on the Good Guys podcast, John Stamos revealed that the Olsen Twins just wouldn’t stop crying on the set, which drove him crazy. The actor described filming a scene where his character and Dave Coulier’s character had to change Michelle’s diaper. “We’re doing the scene. Joey and I were changing the baby, right? And Danny [Bob Saget] is gone and said, ‘Take care of the kids.’ ‘Yeah, we got it. We got it,’” Stamos said. “So, we’re carrying the baby downstairs and we take her in the kitchen and we hose her down. And she was screaming. Both of them. They wanted to be anywhere else but there,...
