Leopold von Sacher-Masoch was born on 27 January 1836 in Lemberg, Galicia, Austrian Empire [now Lviv, Ukraine]. He was a writer, known for Venus in Fur (2013), Seduction: The Cruel Woman (1985) and Mopireul ipeun bineoseu (2012). He was previously married to Wanda Aurora von Rümelin. He died on 9 March 1895 in Lindheim, Hesse, Germany.
