Watch ‘Avengers’ Cast Answer Bizarre Character Questions on ‘Colbert’
Several cast members from the upcoming blockbuster Avengers: Endgame dropped by The Late Show to awkwardly answer some of the staff’s burning questions about their characters.

The jokey segment started relatively tame: Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) playfully noted that her real-life superpower would be “[getting] rid of all the garbage,” and Chris Evans (Captain America) revealed that the Avengers’ biggest enemy isn’t Thanos but “chafing”: “If you’ve ever run through an inter-dimensional portal wearing a skin-tight body suit, you know what I mean.”

The bit grew more surreal from there,

The Marvel Movies Debrief - Thor: Ragnarok Recap, Legacy, and McU Connections

Richard Jordan Apr 18, 2019

The Thor franchise gets a new lease of life thanks to Taika Waititi, who gives the God of Thunder his best McU showcase yet

This article contains spoilers for Thor: Ragnarok and the wider McU.

"Life is about growth; it's about change..."

With Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in full swing, having already introduced a couple of major new characters and raised the stakes for the Earth-bound Avengers (in Captain America: Civil War), it was time for the Mighty Thor's third big-screen outing. It's fair to say, though, that the God of Thunder was in need of a bit of a rethink after his largely soulless second adventure, The Dark World. As Chris Hemsworth's Asgardian hero tells his up-to-his-old-tricks brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston), sometimes a change can do you good...

The man tasked by Marvel with leading that change was Taika Waititi. And change things he did.

The Avengers Answer 'Late Show' Staff's Burning Questions

The Avengers Answer 'Late Show' Staff's Burning Questions
Stephen Colbert revived his Late Show series "Just One Question" on Wednesday night to pepper The Avengers: Endgame's actors with alternately nerdy and silly questions.

As per tradition, The Late Show's staff posed the questions and occasionally produced lively responses from their respondents, including Scarlett Johansson, Brie Larson, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner and Don Cheadle.

The first query went to Scarlett Johansson, the film's Black Widow: If you could have the superpower in real life, what would it be, one staffer asked? "I think I would want the power to just get ...

Chris Hemsworth Says ‘Avengers’ Cast Pissed Off Joss Whedon by Laughing During Takes

Chris Hemsworth Says ‘Avengers’ Cast Pissed Off Joss Whedon by Laughing During Takes
Joss Whedon has been vocal about how exhausting it was directing two massive tentpoles for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (he said “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left him broken), but it turns out in some cases his cast of superheroes didn’t make things easier on him. Speaking to MTV during a recent interview promoting the upcoming “Avengers: Endgame,” Chris Hemsworth remembered the original “Avengers” cast members making Whedon angry on set by cracking each other up and ruining takes. The six original actors include Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, and Scarlett Johansson.

“I think it was on ‘Avengers’ or [‘Age of Ultron’] where it was the original six trying to get…we had one line each in the scene, pretty simple thing, and we just couldn’t get it together,” Hemsworth said. “We just kept cracking up and laughing. And then Joss Whedon, who was directing, was just

Marvel Fans Think Avengers: Endgame Directors Leaked That Footage On Purpose

Earlier this week, almost 5 minutes of footage from Avengers: Endgame leaked online, sending fans fleeing from social media for fear of catching a glimpse of this spoiler-heavy content. But seeing how Marvel Studios has been doing such a good job at keeping a lid on things up to this point, some fans have started to theorize that the recent leak was no accident.

While the internet has offered a few variations on this idea, the gist of the speculation is that the famously spoiler-conscious Russo Brothers filmed fake scenes and let them leak, in order to throw off the fans. And to the the theory’s credit, Mark Ruffalo admitted just a couple of days ago to shooting an alternate ending of Avengers: Infinity War where Bruce Banner dies.

But while it’s one thing to film fake content, it’s another to put all the time and money into

Avengers: Endgame TV Spot Reveals the Mystery of the Missing Character?

The latest Avengers: Endgame TV spot reveals the missing character from the Super Bowl trailer. Earlier this year, Marvel Cinematic Universe fans were excited to finally get the second official look at the highly anticipated sequel and it did not disappoint. However, many fans were quick to point out that there was something fishy about a certain outdoors scene including Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff, Bruce Banner, and Rhodey. There was a noticeable gap between Banner and Rhodey, leaving many to believe the Russo Brothers carefully edited someone out.

Now, we know McU fans were 100% correct in their Avengers: Endgame trailer observation. The character who was missing earlier this year has been proven to be Pepper Potts in the new TV spot as she and the rest of the team stare off into the sky with shocked looks on their faces. It is believed they are witnessing the return of Tony

Avengers: Endgame Cast Reveal Who’s Most Likely To Spoil The Ending

In a recent interview with MTV News, the cast of Avengers: Endgame was asked a series of “Most Likely” questions, from “Most likely to skip the Avengers reunion?” to “Most likely to be the last one dancing at the Avengers wrap party?” And while the stars were usually divided in their responses, there was one query that they could unanimously agree on.

That question was, “Most likely to spoil the end of Avengers: Endgame?” and it looks like pretty much the whole cast, and even co-directors Anthony and Joe Russo, came up with the same response: Mark Ruffalo.

“That’s gonna be Mark,” Scarlett Johansson said, speaking for many. “He’s a flake. He’s got loose lips.”

Co-star Danai Gurira tried to come to Ruffalo’s defense, praising the Bruce Banner actor as “so sweet,” but Johansson couldn’t be swayed, adding:

“He’s a great guy, I don’t know.

Mark Ruffalo Filmed a Hulk Death Scene for ‘Avengers: Infinity War’

The filming process on Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame was a bit unprecedented. Not only were Marvel's two mega-movies shot back-to-back, but to ensure maximum secrecy, accommodate the massive cast's schedules, and allow the Russo Brothers room to piece together their story, plot details were kept from the performers, things were shot especially out of sequence, and often, scenes were filmed that were never meant to be used at all. Case in point: In an interview with Yahoo, the ever-delightful Mark Ruffalo revealed that he had no idea whether Bruce Banner would survive …

Mark Ruffalo Reveals That Hulk Was Almost Killed Off in Avengers: Infinity War

It sounds like Avengers: Infinity War almost had another big casualty. Mark Ruffalo recently shared that Bruce Banner a.k.a. Hulk was nearly a victim of The Snap, which obliterated half of the living beings in the universe.

While talking to Yahoo, Ruffalo said that he didn’t know what Banner’s true fate was going to be until he saw the movie. He explained:

“For one take, I did disappear, and then the other one I didn’t. I was pretty sure it was gonna be me. It’s like Survivor. It’s like, who’s gonna get kicked off the island? And I probably should’ve. … It’s like Project Runway for leakers.”

Well, I am happy to learn that he didn’t die and that the original core six Avengers survived to fight another day. Director Joe Russo previously talked about the surviving members of the

April Foolish Predictions #8: Lead Actor

by Nathaniel R

It won't be hard (qualitatively) for Taron Egerton to outdo Rami Malek in the biopic rock star acting department. But will Oscar feel like "we just did that"?

We didn't forget about our April Foolish Predictions, but just got a wee bit sidetracked. Today's update is the marquee category of Best Actor. Our crystal ball shows us virtually nothing this year in regards to this category with everyone feeling both likely and unlikely for various reasons. One of the most confusing elements is that we know Oscar loves non-fictional characters best but half of those performances seem to be in Netflix movies and you never know which they'll give the big push to, or even release in theaters at all. In the absence of sure things, even on paper, we decided to take some wild swings. For example: Daniel Kaluuya for Queen and Slim which might prove
