Anne was born near Preston in Lancashire. An BA (Hons) in Fashion Design led to a keen interest in the psychology of clothing and ultimately costume in film and television. A staff position at the BBC provided a strong core training following through all staff levels and ultimately a successful career as a freelance costume designer.
