Students at Huntley High School just outside of Chicago got an amazing surprise at their prom on Saturday when The Chainsmokers decided to crash for a unexpected performance. After Grammy-award-winning duo Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall noticed the dance at the Hyatt Regency Hotel near the venue they were set to play at that night, they hopped over and put on a 10-minute show. "Crashed this prom just now. It was across the street from our arena show, so why not :)," they tweeted alongside an epic photo with the sea of students. While the surprise appeared to be last minute, the whole thing was actually planned. Prom is supposed to be a night to remember, and students at Huntley High School near Chicago certainly won’t be forgetting their big night anytime soon.

The Chainsmokers treated teens to a surprise 10-minute performance ahead of their gig at the Allstate Arena on Saturday night, according to the Chicago Daily Herald.

The hitmakers, made up of Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall, even shared a photo with the stunned crowd on Twitter.

“Crashed this prom just now,” they captioned the snap. “It was across the street from our arena show, so why not.”

Paul Hewitt To Head Publicity For The CW

Paul Hewitt has been upped to the top PR post at the CW, succeeding Paul McGuire, who yesterday was named Svp worldwide corporate communications for Warner Bros. Entertainment. McGuire, in turn, succeeded Scott Rowe who was promoted on Tuesday. Hewitt, who had served as VP corporate communications since the CW’s launch in 2006, has been promoted to Svp network communications, reporting to entertainment president Dawn Ostroff. In addition to his PR duties, Hewitt has been doing executive speechwriting and is known for writing speeches for CBS Corp. CEO Leslie Moonves. Hewitt previously served as director and VP communications at Upn from 2002-2006.

Warner Promotes Communications Exec

Veteran communications executive Paul McGuire has been named senior vp worldwide corporate communications at Warner Bros. Entertainment. McGuire will handle communications strategies for the company, and work closely with its international corporate communications team. He’ll also continue to serve in an advisory role to the CW’s PR department, where he has served as executive vp communications since 2006 — when the network was launched. Previously, McGuire spent five years as executive vp at the WB Network. He is replacing Scott Rowe, who was recently named head of communications at Warner Bros. TV Group.
