Susan Roces was born on July 28, 1941 in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Philippines. She was an actress and producer, known for Maligno (1977), Patayin mo sa sindak si Barbara (1974) and Wake Up, Maruja (1978). She was previously married to Fernando Poe Jr.. She died on May 20, 2022 in Manila, Philippines.

Born to a French American mother of Jewish descent and a mestizo father of Spanish and Chinese descent, Roces is a member of one of the country's biggest clans, the Locsin family of Negros Occidental (the origin of the clan is from Iloilo City).
