He was an actor, known for Burn 'Em Up Barnes (1934), Trail to Mexico (1946) and The Mad Empress (1939). He was married to Isobel Thomas. He died on February 24, 1976 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.

His wife, Isabel (or Isobel) Thomas (25 September 1903-23 October 1948), was a Mack Sennett Bathing Beauty.
Prolific small-part actor of westerns and serials, where he alternated villainous roles with barbers, soldiers, Mexican or Spanish landed gentry and even sidekicks of the hero. Gave a sympathetic portrayal of Gen Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna in Heroes of the Alamo (1937). Had apparently trained to be a Shakespearean actor before becoming typecast in horse operas.
