Trivia (1)

Co-leader (with Eddie Farley) of a six-piece dance band in 1934, popular in New York in the 1930's. Their biggest hit was the novelty tune "The Music Goes 'Round and 'Round", attributed to be the chief reason for Decca becoming a major player among record companies. The Riley-Farley partnership ended in 1936, when the two split up to each lead their own group -- albeit with far less commercial success.
