Paul Provenza was born on July 31, 1957 in The Bronx, New York City, New York, USA. He is an actor and producer, known for The Aristocrats (2005), Northern Exposure (1990) and The West Wing (1999).

Attended the prestigious Bronx High School of Science in New York City.
Attended the University of Pennsylvania, during which he was a writer and performer for the school's esteemed comedy troup Mask and Wig.
In an interview on the January 17th episode of the Penn Jillette radio show, he admitted that when casting for NBC's Late Night after David Letterman moved to CBS, he nearly received the Hosting gig, which went to Conan O'Brian.
(1996-) Plays the role of Pablo Picasso in Steve Martin's play, "Picasso at the Lapin Agile" which tours over 20 North American cities through 1998.
