Prince Albert of Monaco was born on March 14, 1958 in Prince's Palace, Monaco as Albert Alexandre Louis Pierre Grimaldi. He has been married to Princess Charlene of Monaco since July 1, 2011. They have two children.

Has his look-alike puppet in the French show Les Guignols de l'info (1988).
A member of the International Olympic Committee.
During his stints in the Winter Olympics as Monaco bobsleigh athlete (1988, 1992, 1994, 1998, 2002), Albert lived in the Olympic Village, just like the other athletes. He was the first and still only person to have been both athlete and Olympic committee member at the same time.
In celebration of his birth, a 101-gun salute was fired, the day after (15 March 1958) was declared a national holiday, and his father, Prince Rainier, pardoned all six prisoners in Monaco's jail. Albert's birth ensured that control of Monaco would not pass to France after Rainier's death, as per the treaty the two countries signed in 1918.
