Bill Phillips recently appeared in film festivals across the country (including SXSW, The Brooklyn Horror Fest, Los Angeles' Scream Fest as well as festivals in London, Dublin, Melbourne, Montreal and Barcelona) for the film Porno directed by Keola Racela. A distribution date will be announced soon! Bill is perhaps best known as Reverend Jenkins, Frank Underwood's (Kevin Spacey) hometown minister on the Netflix series House of Cards. He can also be seen as H.L. Mencken in the Amazon Prime series Z: The Beginning of Everything, in NBC's Shades of Blue (opposite Jennifer Lopez), and in the new Rob Meyer film Little Boxes (Tribeca Film Festival/Netflix). Bill is a character actor at home on stage and screen and comfortable in both dramatic and comedic roles. He fell in love with theatre and New York at an early age. After graduating FSC with a BA degree in Theatre, he moved to New York City. When he's not performing Bill enjoys traveling with his wife. They recently returned from their sixth trip to Bosnia where they've led groups rebuilding homes in the post-war country. Bill was most recently seen on the New York stage in the Off Broadway premiere of the new Michael McKeever play, After, at 59E59!
