Jon Hamm will reprise his role as Fred Heckman from the audio series American Hostage in a live-action TV adaptation from Sony.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hamm would not only reprise his role, but he will also serve as an executive producer for the series. However, at the time of writing, Sony has not confirmed which company will be purchasing the rights to stream American Hostage. The series will be produced by Shawn Ryan, known for producing such hit shows as Swat and Night Agent, the latter of which is a series streaming on Netflix. Mad Dogs writers Ryan and Eileen Myers have already co-written the script for the first season, and the show overall is being advertised as an anthology series, with each season of American Hostage focusing on a different true crime case.

Mad Men and The Morning Show actor Jon Hamm is partnering with Shawn Ryan, the producer of CBS’ Swat and Netflix’s The Night Agent, for a live-action adaptation of the American Hostage podcast. The project hails from Ryan and Sony Pictures, with Hamm reprising his narrative role from the audio presentation.
According to The Hollywood Reporter‘s exclusive report, Sony describes American Hostage as a “psychological thriller that tells the harrowing true story of Fred Heckman, a beloved Indianapolis radio reporter who is thrust into the middle of a life-or-death crisis when hostage-taker, Tony Kiritsis, demands to be interviewed on his popular radio news program.”
Hamm plays Heckman in the adaptation co-written by Ryan and Eileen Myers. The duo completed scripting for the series before the writers’ strike, but Sony waited until now to send it to market. Ryan’s plans for the series go beyond the initial scripts,...

Film: "Malavita"; Cast: Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Tommy Lee Jones, Dianna Agron, John D'Leo, Vincent Pastore, Joseph Perrino, Paul Borghese, Jimmy Palumbo and Kresh Navakovic; Director: Luc Besson; Rating: **1/2
Billed as an action comedy and adapted from Tonino Benacquista's novel, director Luc Besson's film suffers from an identity crisis. Released elsewhere as "The Family", here in India, the film is called "Malavita". And if you were to ask, what's in a name? Well...
Well, the film gets its name after the faithful canine, which the family loses in a bloody fight.
But "Malavita" is not the dog's story. Unless it denotes, that every mobster leads a dog's life!
This is the tale of mobster Giovanni.

We have a fresh poster for The Family starring Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Tommy Le Jones, Dianna Agron and John D'Leo. Also known as Malavita, the Luc Besson film scripted by Michael Caleo and Besson based on the book by Tonino Benacquista. This is a darkly comedic action is the story of the Manzonis, a notorious mafia family who gets relocated to Normandy, France under the witness protection program. While they do their best to fit in, old habits die hard and they soon find themselves handling things the "family" way. Dominic Chianese, Vincent Pastore, Domenick Lombardozzi, David Belle and Joseph Perrino.

For some reason, Luc Besson’s Malavita has been renamed. The Leon director’s upcoming mafia comedy has now been saddled with the rather dull title The Family. Production company Relativity Media have dropped the first trailer for the film. From Yahoo! Movies you can check it out below.
Robert De Niro treads familiar territory as a mafioso forced to relocate to a quaint French town with his family. Michelle Pfeiffer stands by her man as his wife. Dianna Agron and Joseph Perrino as their kids round out the troubled family brood.
All of the Manzoni family dally with typical mobster activities in this first trailer. It appears to pick up the thread left dangling at the end of Goodfellas. Just what do mobsters in witness protection get up to? A violent fish-out-of-water comedy, De Niro’s clan are kept in line by Tommy Lee Jones as the witness protection officer.

"Let's talk about the complaints I have received..." Relativity has unleashed the first trailer for Luc Besson's The Family (what a boring title), previously Malavita, starring Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer as a mafia family relocated to France. The rest of the cast in this action comedy includes Dianna Agron & Joseph Perrino as their kids, plus Tommy Lee Jones, Ricardo Cordero and Jon Freda. This almost seems like Taken meets Red meets every other double-agent spy comedy from Hollywood in recent years, but it looks fun. I usually like everything Besson directs, even if it's more ridiculous French action. Enjoy! Here's the first official trailer for Luc Besson's The Family, originally from Yahoo: The darkly comedic action film The Family is about the Manzonis, a notorious mafia family relocated to Normandy, France under the witness protection program. The project formerly known as Malavita, and the latest film directed by Luc Besson, who said he was going to retire from directing but never did. We expect the trailer to hit very soon, but in the meantime, the first photos and poster for The Family, the new title for Malavita, have been unveiled. Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer star as the heads of the Manzoni family, a notorious mafia clan, that is relocated to Normandy, France under the witness protection program. Their two children are played by Dianna Agron ("Glee") and Joseph Perrino (Assassination of a High School President), both seen on the "family" poster. Here are the first two photos and poster from Yahoo (via Collider) to go along with the trailer reveal today. The darkly comedic action film The Family is about the Manzonis, a notorious mafia family relocated to Normandy, France under the witness protection program.

There's a ton of great movies where one character is shared by two different actors. For example, in the upcoming Rian Johsnon-directed sci-fi action thriller Looper the main character Joe is played by both Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis. In anticipation of this amazing looking movie Complex has created a Top 10 list of best performances by actors that share a role.
I've included five of the ten entries below, so make sure to head on over to Complex to see the complete top 10 list, and let us know if you can think of any other performances in which two actors played the same character!
Star Trek: Leonard Nimoy and Zachary Quinto
There was a lot of pressure on the 2009 reboot of Star Trek, with rabid Trekkies on one end ready to pounce at any transgression over the franchise's folklore, and nerd-bashers on the other simply ready to dismiss the...
