Michael Palmerio studied film at Columbia College in Chicago, where he
quickly established himself as a key figure in the Windy City's vibrant
independent film scene. His early feature editing credits include the
festival-hit comedy "Totally Confused" and the critically acclaimed
verite drama "Straightman", which he also co-produced. In addition,
Michael carries both editing and producing credits on the Slamdance
Best Documentary Award winning film "Amerikan Passport", as well as the
exuberant punk rock feature doc "Monday Night at the Rock-N-Bowl."
Soon after relocating to Los Angeles, Michael was called upon to edit the Lionsgate release "Dummy" starring Oscar winner Adrien Brody and Oscar Nominee Vera Farmiga. He has since edited over 20 feature films in a host of different genres including comedy, drama and documentary as well as live concerts and special interest short subject projects like the Elevate Film Festival Multi-Award Winner "It Ain't Over 'Till It's Over", for which Michael took home a Best Editing Award.
More recent feature projects include the Netflix Original Comedy "The Last Laugh" starring Chevy Chase and Richard Dreyfuss, the post-apocalyptic fantasy "Orion" starring David Arquette and Lily Cole, "Sugar", Rotimi Rainwater's gritty tale of runaway youth featuring Shenae Grimes, the taught suspense thriller "Rushlights" with Aidan Quinn and Beau Bridges, the Jeff Goldblum docu-comedy "Pittsburgh", and Asiel Norton's stunning Independent Spirit nominated drama "Redland".
Michael's television credits include VICELAND's daring docu-series "Weediquette", MTV World's "This Is Dance Music", the Fox documentary series "Preps," Sony Television's "Pat Croce - Moving In" and the syndicated extreme sports and adventure show "Adrenaline TV."
