Tim Allen's 'Last Man Standing' Top of Fox's Reboot List

  • TMZ
The reboot bug has bitten Fox hard, and the biggest beneficiary is Tim Allen's recently-canceled show, "Last Man Standing." Our Fox sources tell us Allen's show -- which was controversially canceled last year -- is now under serious consideration for a reboot. There were rumors the show was canceled because of Allen's personal conservative affiliations -- he compared being a conservative in Hollywood to 1930's Nazi Germany, as well as the conservative character he portrayed on the show.

Michael Angarano & Melissa Benoist in Official Trailer for 'Sun Dogs'

"Part of me wants to know what's going on. Part of me doesn't..." Netflix has released the first trailer for an indie dark comedy titled Sun Dogs, the feature directorial debut of actress Jennifer Morrison. The film premiered at a few smaller film festivals last year, and it will be available on Netflix this April. Sun Dogs is about a young, emotionally unbalanced man from a small town, played by Michael Angarano, who wants to become a soldier to "save lives", fueled by the belief that Al-Qaeda terrorists might be operating in his neighborhood. Melissa Benoist co-stars as his friend Tally, and the full cast includes Allison Janney, Ed O'Neill, Xzibit, Jennifer Morrison, Eric Christian Olsen, J.R. Ramirez, and Niko Nicotera. This looks funky and weird and somewhat amusing, might be an original American indie comedy worth a watch. Here's the first official trailer (+ promo poster) for Jennifer Morrison's Sun Dogs,

O'Neill ran into Swift while attending the birthday party of his co-star Sarah Hyland. But after a bit of small talk, the Jay Pritchett character still couldn't identify her. "I know she's famous, but I can't place her," he told host Ellen DeGeneres, recounting the event. To solve the mystery, the actor took a selfie with the "End Game" singer and sent it to his daughter Sophia, who was able to identify Swift. "And she said, 'I'm...

ABC's Modern Family is not going anywhere.

The 10 stars of the five-time Emmy-winning family series have inked new rich contracts to return to the network's top comedy, which has been renewed for a ninth and 10th season, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. It's unclear if season 10 of the Emmy darling will be its last. The renewal is for 44 total episodes, 22 per season.

"We are beyond thrilled that we get to spend more time with these characters, these amazing actors, our ridiculously talented writers and our incredible crew — all of whom are like family to us. And the good kind of family, not the kind that argues with you all the time," co-creator/co-showrunner Steve Levitan said Wednesday in a statement.

Flashback: 'Married… With Children' Cast on How Their Unique Humor Was a Recipe for Success

Flashback: 'Married… With Children' Cast on How Their Unique Humor Was a Recipe for Success
On April 5, 1987, there was something different about Los Angeles. The Hollywood sign, perhaps L.A.’s most identifiable landmark, had seemingly been erased off the hillside it’s resided upon for decades. In its place was a three-letter word that was easy to read from the city below as spotlights had been installed for maximum visibility: Fox.

Meanwhile, another longstanding staple of the entertainment industry was undergoing a change as well. CBS, ABC, and NBC, or the “Big Three,” were about to face a brand new ratings competitor. In an effort to drum up publicity for the debut of its primetime line-up, Fox Broadcasting Corp. had received permission to temporarily black out the iconic sign. For a few days, the world-famous photo op for tourists would instead read “Fox” instead of “Hollywood.”

Looking back on the marketing stunt, another word might have sufficed: “Bundy.”

Across town, there was a party at Fox Plaza, home to the
