Between 1904-06 she was a close friend of Lizzie Borden, (who stood trial for the ax murder of her father and step-mother). There were rumors that they were lovers.

Started her screen career with William Fox in 1915.
Sister of Lillian Lamson, first wife of actor William Desmond.
